Quick Question About EQ Leveling Jacks

Going round and round with an issue with the front jacks on our '23 24D's Equalizer levelers. Put simply: Are the front jacks supposed to pivot front to rear slightly, or should they be solidly mounted? Can anyone with quick access to their View/Navion with EQ Smart system take a quick look and see if the front jacks move at all when retracted, or are they solidly in place? (The rears do NOT move.)

Thanks!

Mickey

Are the "cross ties" installed? They're supposed to prevent side to side shift, but no mention of front back in the EQ Systems Sprinter install demo video.

Cross bracket (side-to-side) is in place. I've looked, but there's no mention of front-to-rear movement. Assume they should be rigid, but checking to see if someone can take a look at theirs and see if they can move them.

The EQ Leveling Jacks should not be moving side to side or front to back.

I would recommend that you download the installation instructions and check the torque settings for the jacks. Something does not seem correct if the jacks are moving.

Installation instructions: https://eqsystems.us/wp-content/uplo...hassis-WEB.pdf

Per the EQ Leveler documentation: the front jacks use a bracket that attaches to the Sprinter frame (i.e. box mount with box bolt). Plus it uses a bracket to attach the jack to the box mount. The "box bolt" is set at a torque of 140 lb. ft. while the "bracket bolts" are set at 75 lb. ft.

The rear jacks mounting mechanism uses a different set up so the torque settings are less as it relates the the Sprinter frame mounting bracket (i.e. 50 lb. ft.). The torque setting for the jack to frame bracket is the same as the front jacks (i.e. 75 lb. ft.).

I had loose bolts on my LTV Unity. Even though I have changed to a Renegade Vienna, I still check the torque settings at least once per season. This is also a good time to check the fluid levels of the reservoir.

Thanks - read the installation instructions for the jacks and assumed the same. Spoke to tech support at EQ and was told the brackets should be rigid in both directions.

Long story short: In parking our View at home, I caught the front jacks on some gravel/dirt on a small hump and the result was the jacks were pulled loose. Upon measuring, I found that there was only 5 3/8" ground clearance for them; EQ specifies a minimum requirement of 6-7 inches. Took the coach to NIRVC Nashville (where we bought it) and they're replacing the brackets. Will be covered under warranty, but took some effort.

Thanks for posting. I also have a 2023 View and have the same issue with mine. That seems like quite the coincidence. I’m on a 4 week trip with it now so I’m hoping I can tighten them up myself so I can use them until I can get it to EQ or Winnebago to more permanently correct. Also, now wondering how long it was like that before I noticed.

I'm attaching "before" and "after" pics so you can see the difference. The "before" picture has a ruler next to the leg, and there are two mounting holes visible below the bottom bolt. Replacement bracket has only one, which gives the proper ground clearance. (EQ had to send new ones, as the captive box bolts had given way when I caught the legs in the gravel.)
