Radio sound system

Have any of you been disappointed in the radio sound system in your 2019 mb chassis. I recently viewed a video on you tube of Leisure travel van owner complaining about the sound coming out of his door speakers and that it didnít have that surround sound he was hopping for. He found on a Ltd blog that someone suggested unplugging the center speaker up by the windshield, which he did in the video and was amazed at how better the sound was. Have any of you heard of this fix. I went out to check mine, we have a 2020 view, i did have sound coming out of my door speakers, but werenít very loud, went into settings, moved the base, treble and such and didnít change the sound at all, moved the sound from one door speaker to the other and nothing changed there either, it was like the change in settings didnít make a difference.. just curious if anyone had thought about this or noticed it..

Just unplug the black connector! The grill pops out as does the speaker. I believe it bridges the left and right channels which nulls the stereo effect. You'll think you just got a whole new sound system! The white connector are for the emergency call. I checked!Click image for larger version

Try this: Put a bath towel, folded, over the center speaker, then listen. It completely changes the sound. The problem is in the center speaker - it sucks and it overpowers the side speakers no matter how you set the balance and equalizer. There are instructions on how to disconnect it completely, but so far we just leave it covered.

No center speaker!

I was so excited when I saw this thread. We have a 2018 and the sound is horrible. I popped of the speaker cover and, much to my surprise, there was no speaker The round hole is there, but no speaker. We have speakers in the two corners of the dashboard. I wonder if I should try disconnecting them?
