Hi All - Great insight here. We're new to the Sprinter RV platform and the OCCC discussions that go along with it. Just weighed last week and we are several hundred pounds under but not carrying any water at this point. We are looking to add a TOAD soon and I've been thinking that if I get a light TOAD (e.g., Chevy Spark @ 2,200lb) can I safely transfer or add 5-600 lbs of carrying weight to the TOAD and still be under Gross Combined Weight? Is my newbie logic sound on this idea?

Transferring weight would take weight off of the specific axle that it was on and transfer it to were you put it. Gcwr would still be the same just in a different place. In saying that, that is a good helpful tool that you can use to spread your weight out over more axles and not load up axles so heavy , but weight is weight, if your 10,000 lbs, it doesn't mater were you move it, your still 10,000 lbs, but if you have 6,000 lb axles then it helps to move weight around off of what could be an overloaded axle.
Just make sure you don't go over your gcwr as a whole unit.
A side not, calculate liquids by 7.5lbs per gallon

I love the size and great designs of the Sprinter RVís. But the low carry capacity is why I scratched them from my list of potential coaches.

On my last coach I eliminated tools and supplies that I packed for years, but realized I seldom or in some cases never used.
