Service A 52 days late

Questions for person who done this service yourself. Would it be good enough to change oil, oil filter and fuel filter for service A? What kind of hoses clamps did you replaced them with? Does maintenance minder reset is reset 51 or reset 31? What else should I do? Please advise. Only 6100 miles on it.

Thanks

I'd look in your owner's manual or service log to see if it lists what is done during the oil change. If you don't find it there, ask at a MB service counter. Often chassis is lubed at oil change interval.

These are the typical hose clamps used to replace the factory clamps:

Hose Clamp 13 mm-Fuel Injection 2002-2012

Wonder around the site link for the correct parts and clamps for your model year.
Depending on the year you need 13mm or 15mm or both.

51 vs 31 is chosen by the type of oil used to reset the monitor to the correct mileage. Most of us use the 51 when the proper oil is used.

General checks are included in the “A” service and some retorque the rear axle spring bolts.

Typical “A” service menu:

My Sprinter calls for Service A at 20K miles. Service B at 40K. Being old school I changed my oil and filter at 10K. My manual has fuel filter as Service B (40K miles) item buts adds or 1 year. Then I have had the fuel filter changed annually at a Sprinter shop in Greenville, SC.
(Discussions on the sprinter forum did not consider the fuel Filter change as a DIY project.) Fuel filter change also requires removing and replacing a new Turbo Inlet seal.

At 20K miles I had the local MB Sprinter dealer do the complete service A just for the warranty book.

The reset .51 or .31 describes the spec for the oil used. From the Mercedes approved fluids list. Your 2016 manual may call for 226.51 or the newer 226.52 oil
MB 226.51 - Low SPAsh multigrade service engine oils (Specification 226.51) - Mercedes-Benz Specifications for Operating Fluids

Wrong specification Above, Sprinter uses the 229.xx specs. My 2016 calls for 229.51 or the newer spec 229.52. BEVO list here shows oils that meet the specs from your manual. Mercedes-Benz Specifications for Operating Fluids: Overview Sheets
