Sprinter Transmission Issues

I have a 2014 Sprinter chassis/ 2015 Winnebago Itasca Navion with 51k miles.

On a recent trip two times at a stop light the rig would not move after stopping. The motor just revved. I shifted to neutral and back to drive and the rig moved OK.

Going home, 150 miles, two days later there were no issues.

Also, I am hearing a "clunk" when the transmission is downshifting.

The rig is now at the Mercedes dealer for evaluation.

Have anyone had similar issues and what was the resolution.

Thanks,

I have not and have 62K on the 5 speed. My fluid and filter was changed at 40K and again at 60K. Do you have any leaks? Do you have a MB transmission dipstick? Do you tow? Not that towing within the GCVWR should matter but they do recommend fluid and filter change at 40K (for towing and severe service and to me hauling a MH around qualifies as severe service, or "arduous" as MB calls it).

I agree with bigb56, have the tranny fluid and filters replaced per maintenance schedule.
This is one of those deals where you pay them now or pay them more later.
