Warning: not 11,300 GVWR

Hi,

The Sprinter chassis has an 11,030 GVWR according to the Mercedes Benz Sprinter website. However, I've seen a few RV vendors quote the GVWR value as 11,300. I assume that's a typo since 11,030 is a bit odd to type. However, that typo give you 270 more pounds of GVWR than you really have.

If I'm wrong, please let me know.

Can't say if its a typo or not but the only legal GVWR figure that matters is what's printed on the vehicle placard.

Sprinter does offer a heavy duty front suspension and it increases the front axle rating but does not change the GVWR of 11030 # (FWIW I remember reading this but can't find the reference)
