Windshield Cover

I just added an exterior windshield cover to my Sprinter. I got tired of the inside foil window covers after unrolling and rolling them up over two years.

Fits like a glove. Clips over the two door upper corners and uses magnets on the lower corners and the windshield wipers to hold in place.

Got it from Sprinter Parts Depot.

You canít see through the cover in either direction. Itís both for privacy and to block the sun.

You can see out of the Magne Shade covers but they are VERY proud of their covers. We paid almost $500 for them for our Navion. They also attach via magnets.

When we park at home, I use a cover like milkman55 to keep the sun out. It saves our interior windshield privacy shades from sun damage.

I'll give a big thumbs up to Magneshades. I have the windshield shade and the driver and passenger window shades on my Navion. Quick and easy to put them on and they look good too.

We also bought the windshield cover from Sprinter Source for our LTV Sprinter chassis. Very good fit and secure. It is great for privacy, helps keep the cab cooler while camping, and helps reduce the light to help sleep better. I would recommend it. The price is reasonable too.

Our Prism came with the tan windshield shade with the magnets. I left in on most of the winter in Arizona and when I took it off, I could see where the paint had faded (or not faded) differently under the magnets.

Just ordered our Magna Shades for our new Jayco Melbourne. This makes the third mh we've used MS. By far the best out there. You get what you pay for and they are great. Will uses the old style vinyl one when storing.

+1 on this cover! Best money I have spent (so far...) on the Navion.

I had a white cover for my RoadTrek on a Chevrolet chassis and when I got our first Sprinter, I bought a grey one because it blended in better with the color of the RV. The grey transmits more heat to the glass and then into the RV than the white did. I experimented with putting stuff between the cover and the glass to prevent heat transmission and it did help. Now I need to figure out a practical way to do this. I only use the cover for storage as the Sprinter cab has built in shades that seem to do a better job of reflecting heat back out.

Fancher

I use a Fancher windshield cover. It lets you see out but blocks the view in from outside. Of course it's the other way around at night. It mounts with magnets and I tuck the bottom under the wipers. 4 years old now and good as new. You do have to be careful not to drag the magnets over the paint as they will accumulate dirt/sand and scratch your paint if you're not careful. I cut a piece of Reflectix to fit between the windshield and the cover and it is hugely helpful to block the sun. It is my understanding that the accordion privacy shades will deteriorate fairly quickly if left closed in a sunny location - they're meant for privacy, not heat rejection. You mileage may vary etc.
