2013 paint codes

2013 Palazzo 33.2 with a Sikkens paint code of 77347-191/FLNA 94722 Sunlit Sand. Which of these do I use to try and get some touch up paint somewhere?
Thank you

11 year old rig--surely the paint has faded some. Better option is to find a removeable door or cover in proximity to the paint in question and get a computer match for mixing touch up paint.

Thanks Old Scout. Man, 11 years old sounds really, really old when someone else says it.

Thirteen years ago the paint was oil based. All paint is now water based making the codes worthless. The paint can be matched, but it isn't quite the same. Use some 1800 grit with water and slowly sand to smooth/even it out. Then use a paint cutting compound. Do use a sponge and do not use much pressure with sanding or the compound. It really should not show. I know. I did quit a huge long scratch. Took my time and it will turn out well.

I think you mean solvent based paint, like lacquer or acrylic. Modern automotive paint systems are low volatile organic compound (low-VOC) paint. Common auto paint systems are enamel or acrylic urethane. Better quality paint is now a catalyzed poly-urethane or epoxy. There are water based automotive systems, but are only used where local government restrictions do not permit low-VOC paints.

If you change paint systems, there are surface sealers that allow you to spray newer systems over older types of paint, BUT your results may vary.

My problem with water based systems is they go on milky and flat, so it hard to judge coverage. They dry slowly and do not respond to heat well. So, water based paint systems work well, but expect it to cost at least 50% more because of time and expertise required to make it look as good a a cheap enamel.

2015 Black Canyon Paint Codes
I found 3 Huge 3-foot scratches on the black part of my RV (Palazzo 33.2). The scratches are deep through the CC, Base Coat, and down to the original surface. I have no idea how this happened, as I don't remember scraping anything this hard. I'll need to be creative with this repair. I need the paint, so I found all the paint codes for the Black Canyon scheme. Here are the codes. You can order from "Automotive touchup or Paintscratch"

77528 BASE EBONY SATIN METALLIC

THOR-B2 HARVEST GOLD (Also is Ford Harvest Gold B2)

UMBRA BROWN METALLIC LB8V

I found a company that claimed to "spot paint" RVs, so I contacted them about painting only the black part on both sides. They replied it would be better and maybe cheaper to paint the whole RV. I was thinking, yeah for about $30,000 - $40,000. Well this is the process and quote........If you are interested.

• Removal and reinstallation of all parts and awnings
• Removal and reapplication of sealant/caulk on all painted surfaces
• All decals will be removed
• Unit will be sanded smooth
• Two coats of high build primer applied and sanded smooth
• Main color Sikkens basecoat
• Stripe color Sikkens basecoat (this is the design you chose)
o We have a design library with several design options for you to choose from
o You select any 4 colors you wish for the design
o CDI can create a custom design for you at an upcharge
• Standard clearcoat - 2 coats of clear with a light sand and buff

The full job quoted above came to $16000 even. I understand this is ALOT, but it is still significantly less expensive than I expected and appears very thorough.

I’m still going to repair the scratches on my own, but if others are interested, the company is

Thanks for the modern paint code information. It is great to have. I gouged a three foot long scratch down to the fiberglass black painted side of my Palazzo. Carefully sanded with 2200 grit sand paper. A small amount of primer using a artist brush. Then used a touch up paint I found that appeared to be a match. It did match perfectly. Two to three applications with light color sanding and paint cutting compound. I used a polishing cloth with very little pressure for the cutting compound. Sanding the same way with little pressure always in a circular motion. One year later, you cannot tell it ever happened.
