2021 Palazzo large double door storage brace help

I am rebuilding the flooring on my palazzo storage bays and I noted in a picture of a 2021 model there is a black brace coming across the large storage bay on the floor near where the doors come together. It is the black (appears to be metal) object on the floor in this picture of a 2021 model. Can any Palazzo owner who has this please answer a few questions for me?
1. Is this a metal brace and is the flooring inserted into the side of it; is it supporting the floor somehow? What is it's purpose?
2. Is it screwed or welded to the frame metal somehow?
3. Can you take a picture of the underside of the black brace and the flooring next to it and upload it for me please (under the RV)?
4. Does the wet bay or any other bay have this type of brace in the floor anywhere else on your coach (mine has none!)?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I want to fix my floor right and the 2018 model didn't have this black brace.
Thanks

Hello Ed,

I assume that the black brace was put there so THOR could put the flooring in the bay in 2 pcs instead of having one large piece as before. I will install my Coosa Board flooring the same way. I am not sure what Thor is using.

I have been very busy and haven't repaired my flooring yet. I have all the materials, just no time. I will use a piece of steel "T" shaped metal to place between the two pieces of the flooring. I will then place a piece of flat aluminum that is 1/8" thick and 2-3 inches wide/ I will screw it to the Coosa Board flooring.
Sure would be nice for someone to post pictures of what Thor is using on the flooring.
Take care

I got the thor factory flooring (new). I posted it on another thread with pic. INteresting stuff. Two layers of plastic with styrofoam like material in between. about as thick and sturdy as 3/4" plywood but waterproof.
