Cool 33.3 kitchen sink drain tube : /

Today I ran in our main slide on our 33.3 and then noticed water leaking from the outside front end of the slide near the front wheel(?). I looked under the kitchen drawers and found that the sink drain 'grey flexible tube' had seperated from it's main plumbing connection at the slide 'bag' area. Some drain water still in the hose had leaked out.
I found that it had been pulled out of it's drain pipe connection, not broke(thankfully), but it just 'came out(!)'. It didnt make sense to me that a drain connection should just be able to come out, so I did some more eyeballing of the drainpipe situation under these cabinets.
Turns out, theres a reason this is a 'flexible' drain line. Thor decided that a flexible pipe might be best because this pipe, and other water lines, cable/coax cables, and electrical lines all run under these cabinets, and all stay 'in place' as these cabinets, and the floor, move in and out when using the slides.
Heres the problem: this grey flexible drain pipe must not only share room with all the other hoses, cables, and wires, but it is also limited in its movement by an ill-placed electrical junction box right in front of it! Thor, this makes NO common sense!
The electrical box could be easily located near the RIGHT side of the cabinets, making it a non-issue with no contact with the drain hose.

I hope Thor is listening. I will be there for service next week. Something else on the list for them.

By the way, I've temporarily helped the problem by adding a hard but flexible panel(the one Thor puts in the water pump bay) as a seperator between the drain hose and the electrical box so the hose can more easily 'slide' OVER the box when the slide goes out. I also added a better, more flexible, connector between the hose and the drain pipe. Fingers crossed.

How about a picture? I have a 33.3 and would like to do some preventive maintenance if possible to avoid a leak.

I guess the electrical guys do their installation first and the plumbers come in and work around their work...

When I was at Elkhart for warranty work, they redid those flex pipe for me... in my case the bag (wraps the hose and misc cable) kept pushing out the kick panel. I would inspect outside channel as well... that bag acts like a sleeve that keeps all critters out of the coach. The bag was not sealed along the channel under the slide.

I will send pics tomorrow...
my bag works fine, and I also use it as an 'entry point' for extension cords and coax cables(Satellite). If I'm to set somewhere for more than a few days, and in cold months, I stick insulation in the slide entry 'hole', as well as the other two closer to the front of the slide.

Arrow

Fixed now...
1-pic of electrical junction box 'in the way' of the drain hose movement

2-pic of the drain hose, now in between a 'sandwich' of black hard flexible plastic to allow the hose to slide and not get caught by the junction box

3-pic of the new drain hose 'flexible' connector, which should actually work better than the original 'screw on' connector

4-pic of the other water lines and coax cables that are now on 'top' of the slide boards so as also not to interfere with the drain hose

when I look at the old drain hose connection, I realize that it's not designed for any movement, it's designed more for the static 'undersink' type situations, such as at a 'p-trap'. This new flexible connection is something Thor should be using here anyway.

nice work !! it's been several months ago but mine came disconnected too. I don't know if it caught on something but it hasn't happened again but I do need to change out the end as you did so I don't have to remember to check it periodically.

Nice job! I had the same problem first time I used the sink. The compression nut was loose under the stove/drawers. Looks like it's time for more mods.

I've reinspected my work/solution over the last several travel days, slides in and out several times, and the 'divider' solutions seems to be working well. The hose is able to more easily slide over the electrical junction box with no issues, and the new flexible connection to the drain pipe is allowing for any flexibility needed. : )

Nice fix, I have had the same leak at that joint and have to check it after every trip. Will have to add this to the to do list.

You need to follow up working under THAT cabinet with an adult beverage.

33.3 kitchen sink drain tube : /

Our 2014 33.2 has the same problem but it doesn't have the electrical box that causes the disconnect. Ours just doesn't have the slack necessary when the slide is retracted. It was one of the warranty repairs that I had Camping World repair last year. That repair didn't even last one trip. All the guy did was put a bunch of silicone adhesive on the hard threads and crank down on the compression ring. That just made a big mess on the threads for me to clean up before doing a similar repair to this one.
