ALL Tires way out of Balance.......

We have had our Palazzo 33.3 for about a year now, Always seems to have a constant vibration over 70 mph, not a big deal since I keep it around 65 mph ish. Was told Oh its a big rig, not going to ride like a car etc. We are leaving Tx. for Montana soon, so after much investigation I found a tire shop in the Area. End result ALL TIRES were way off. It did not appear weights were thrown, they were simply installed in the wrong place. Tire guy said he has seen weights move on rare occasions but not on all tires ? Any way, food for thought and Btw.....the short ride home was night and day difference.

Dealing with car/truck repairs since 1960 I've never seen or heard of a wheel weight moving on a wheel other than if someone moved it.

Falling off is a different matter that happens way too often.

Over a year ago we put on CENTRAMATICs. Tires are always in balance. Buy them from the factory because there are variations and they know what they are.

Did you add them to all or just the steer wheels?

I added them to them all. You take off all the weights and put them on. I bought them on sale at Loves and put them on when I replaced my steer tires. Although the factory told me which ones to buy the front ones made a little more noise then they were supposed to. At slow speeds like crawling through parking lots the ball bearings are not spinning yet and they make a little noise. Mine made more noise than they were supposed to on the front only. I took it to the factory in Alvarado Texas just next to MHSRV. They said there is so many different wheels that our front fell into the 5% and they replaced the front at no charge. Smooth as glass. The neat thing is that it does not matter how the tires would wear it will always be in balance. We are sold on them. Truckers use them a lot. One of my friends has them on his tractor trailer rig on the tractor. He swears by them and that pushed me to get them.

The Centramatics sound like a good deal. I have seen them on trucks also.
On the other hand, we used to put extra weights on tires for a gag and whoever was the unlucky guy got a bouncy ride home.

I like those. Something to add to my list of improvements. About $500-600 for front and rear?

I had a similar problem when we got our rig new. Long story short, after getting everything balanced at least twice, having Freightliner check alignment, etc., it turned out 2 of the wheels were out of round. Note I said the wheels, not the tires, were out of round. Thor paid to replace the defective 2 (one was on the front, one on the rear) and for 1 tire that had wore excessively due to the issue. I have never seen a bad wheel before unless it was due to road/accident damage. These were not dinged they were just built wrong.

About $400 for the 4. I bought them at Lived for less but bought the wrong ones for the front. The had a sale on them. They have diff ones for aluminum or steel wheels, so if you are going to change someday wait until you change.

Randy do you have any pics of your tires before they were replaced I have 1 inside dually that is wearing badly and I can't get good year to even take a look at it. I have a 13 33.2 with 25k miles and i am getting concerned.
thanks
