Bed lift motor
Has anyone changed a bed lift motor? I took the cover off of the slide track and it looks like there is a white metal bracket that needs to come off to get to the motor, this bracket looks like it’s also holding the end of the cable which is very tight, not sure what will happen, don’t want bed to fall, just need step by step instructions if someone already did this, Thor and LCI was no help.

I am assuming you have done the trouble shooting and checked the motor controller (mine is in cabinet over driver) to make sure that is not the issue? Read any codes on controller. Sounds like you have narrowed it down to the motor. Have you looked at Videos on how to change the slide motors on the LCI website? They have one on changing the swintek motors. It might be a similar process but I would brace that bed up!

Bed lift motor
Controller checked out good ,error code says short in motor 2 harness witch means maybe short in motor, I have to get to the motor and disconnect so I can isolate the motor from the cable and meter both to see how to proceed. All LCI information and videos are generic, nothing specific for the Thor Palazzo, Thor was no help either, I’m looking for someone who changed this motor for some guidance, thinking about calling an RV repair shop.

let us know what you find out. I hope someone on here has changed it. I doubt it though because those don't go out often. I was just thinking maybe the Swintek motor access on the slide (video on how to access and change the motor) would be very similar since it is essentially a swintek slide motor (at least on my 2018 33.3). Good luck!

Bed lift motor
I finally figured out how to access the bed lift motor, the bed has to be down to get to the motor, 4 screws to remove a plate and there is the motor, there is one screw underneath that secures the motor itself. If the bed is in the up position you can override the controller to get it down.

I have the same issue, this is the second time. Dealer did first and in a year and about 2 times use, same error. Did you fix it? Thanks. Tracy

It started working on it’s own and I just don’t use it.
