Dump Fresh Water

Is there a way to dump the fresh water tank?

I don't know what is wrong but our water is not working. I was able to use the city water to fixtures option for a awhile but that stopped working too. In fact the water from that option filled up my fresh water tank.

So now I have a full fresh water tank that can't be used and a long way to travel still.

Look in the compartment where the gray/black water dump is. There is a valve on the left side and WAY back. It will take a long time to drain because the valve is small and you have about 100 gallons of water to drain. Hope this helps.

Don't know what model you have but on my 33.2 there is a drain on the lower side of the fresh water tank accessible from the water and sewer hook up bay.

When you switch to NORMAL and turn on the water pump you should hear the pump run until it builds pressure then get water out of faucets.

Hopefully you have not had a freeze problem split a line. Have you looked for signs of water leakage ?

If running on "city water" filled up your tank, you have a bad valve somewhere, or one in the wrong position. I had that situation on a previous coach, and if I recall correctly, the cause was in my water pump. (I think it was allowing water to flow backward through the pump when on city water, so the tank would fill.) Not quite sure how to suggest you trouble shoot it yourself, but any decent RV repair place should be able to sort it out.

I agree with the others. Don't drain those tanks yet. The problem is probably operator error. If the outside valve is not turned to normal you will get no water. Even if the outside is turned to normal if you do not have the water pump on in the monitor panel you will still not get water. Check both of those problems before you do anything else.

Riover,

I have a little more time now. There are four positions on the water value located in the sewer bay area. Normal, city water, tank fill and I believe winterized. I only use three, I live in Florida. If you filled up the tanks you must have been on tank fill. When you are hooked up to city water then move the valve to city water to get water into the coach. When not hooked up turn to normal and also turn on the water pump at the monitor panel. The notations on the dial are hard to read. Some folks use a black marker and rub over them to make them stand out. My terms may be a little off because I did not go out to look, but you will get the idea. I hope that is all your problem is to fix. If so, it has happened to us all.

Thanks everybody, water is drained. I do have a leak and I think the water pump is dead. I also think the valve switcher (not sure if that's the correct terminology) is broken too. Normal with water pump on, no water. City to fixtures was working then it stopped and next thing I know the fresh water tank is overflowing.
