dust in night stands on a 33.3

i have recently been getting dust in the nightstands at the back of the coach when driving. i think i need to reseal the rear of the coach. has anyone done this and or seen how it has been done. i am guessing i have to get up under the coach from the outside to do this.

dust in nightstands

I had my Palazzo back to the factory twice before they solved the problem.
They foamed the rear and built a panel to separate the nightstand drawer .

This has been a problem for many owners. We made the trip to the factory for several items. The factory said they sealed the back area to prevent dirt from entering the coach. However, after a 1600 mile trip we noticed dirt had entered the drawers in the bedroom! We fixed the problem. We traded it.

a) remove the drawer on the driver side. remove the panel below it also.
you can now either 'foam' around the air tube, or use insulation to stuff in the cracks as best as possible.
or
b)lay under the coach and you'll see where the engine air tube exits thru the
floor of the bedroom. it's tight but you should be able to 'foam' around it

Yep. X-2. Got rid of mine too. But to answer OP 's question. Factory sealed mine from the underside. Looked like they just used the canned foam?? That help some but we alway had soot in our clothes. ?? They didn't get all the cracks I guess.

Sounds like some RTV type flexible sealant in a calking gun might be a better answer.

Sealing with spray foam both inside and underneath did not totally solve our problem. I ended up removing the drawer and installing a flat panel under the drawer to seal off the entire area under the drawer. Used silicone caulk to seal all the other corner seams, etc. On the passenger side I sealed all the seams with caulk also. This has finally solved the problem.

funny thing is that the grit is consistently black charcoal dust type... I cant see how this stuff is coming from the outside. It almost seems like its coming from some form of charcoal filter or some type. Maybe its just my over imagination where this stuff is coming from. Looks like sealing the source of the problem is to build another panel... crazy???

I will be looking into doing this next week if I feel up to it after my surgery, I have a week off work for recouping time but the doc. Says in a few days will be back to normal so I need something to do and this seams like the thing to get done. I think I will foam everything inside and out and seal all other seams with a flexible chalk

I found a few small holes in between all the spray foam so I used more spray foam in the cracks and after it cured I coated the entire area with rubberized coating like a spray in bed liner. It goes on thick and fills even the smallest voids. Never had another problem. I actually used this stuff on quite a few areas under the RV after I kept having leaks into certain baggage compartments. Wear gloves and don't breath the stuff its toxic.
