Forest River Legacy 340BH vs Palazzo 33.3

We're looking at the Palazzo 33.3 bunkhouse RV, and just recently heard about the Legacy 340BH. Our local RV dealer carries the Palazzo, and they also carry some Forest River RVs (Berkshire) but they don't have the Legacy models. For that, we'd have to travel several hundred miles to a dealer in Southern California.

I am aware of the issues some people have had with the Palazzo and that does give us pause. But the Palazzo has been available for a few years now, while the Legacy appears to be a relatively newer model. So while the Palazzo has some known issues, the Legacy's issues may not be apparent yet.

Wondering if anyone else has compared these units? The Legacy is 18" longer but the floor plan looks identical (Legacy 340BH vs Palazzo 33.3). They have the same chassis & engine. The Legacy has a 2500 transmission while the 33.3 has the 2100. Price is similar as well.

I saw your post over on the other forum. You will get very biased opinions over here.however the 35.1 and 36.1 have the Allison 2500 because of the higher gvwr.

We like the legacy model with out the bunk
We like the door not over the passenger seat. We are also looking at the Fleetwood excursion 35b they make a NEW 35e with bunks for this year. The Palazzo's issues have scared is away from Thor. At one time the Tuscany 36mq was high on our list but no more. You should check out RV.NET info on the this issue also. But when all is said and we will buy what we like best.
