Freightliner Message Display Center on Dash
Hello, I will be driving my 2015 Palazzo (new to us) tomorrow and have a few questions about the Message Display Center ?
Can I set a trip odometer to zero at beginning of my trip ?
Can I have it track MPG ? Instantaneous and total ?
We are in Florida and driving back to Kentucky .
Also, where do you store your sewer hose ?
I thought about placing wire grating or wire mesh on the front side of the DEF tank, there seems to be quite a bit of room there. At this location, if there was still any fluid dripping from the hose, it would simply drip thru the wire grating.
Thanks, in advance
Bob

Yes, yes, & yes. It is a pain to set up. The manual is your friend.
As far as the sewer hose, connect the ends together to prevent drippage. Check the threads in this forum as some have done what you are considering. I store my hose in a container in my basement.

This is what I fabricated for my 2018. I carry 2, 10 ft slinky's.

I use trip mpg leg mpg and instant mpg all the time. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Not intuitive at first.
I store my sewer hose on the metal shelf above my propane tank, inside that compartment. Do you have a shelf there?

The display will show 3 different items on the screen all at one time on three separate lines. So, I usually set it up with Trip MPG or Trip miles on one line, Leg MPG on line 2, and then Instant MPG on line 3. I like to monitor my mpg and see what helps/hurts mileage (ie economy mode, exhaust brake, downshifting, etc.). Just use the selector knob on the left, select a line then scroll right through all the options for that line. Once on an option on a specific line with it highlighted click the knob leftward and it will ask if you want to reset, then hold the knob rightward for 3 seconds to reset.

I store my slinky in a plastic container with a lid on the shelf above the propane tank
