We have a 2014 33.2, born January, 2014, with tripple tracks. No issues at all, slides work great.

We have had no problems with our 33.2 large slide. We had a bad controller on the small slide. We did have s water leak on the large slide, but the water was coming from the front of the coach. All fixed. # 7 off the production line and almost 24,000 miles.
We love our coach

I have the same slide as the 33.1. Mine is in the shop now as it won't extend.

I would love to see, next to each name on the list of Palazzo owners, the number of slide repairs that have been done.

I picked up my 33.1 in October 2012 and now have over 17,000 miles on it with numerous slide deployments without any problems. Here are some factors which may have helped:
- Luck
- Always being connected to power or running the generator so having full power for the slides
- Always being level before running slides
- Following the instructions for the special CRC lube per the instructions; NOT any lube on slide tracks
- Keeping slide tracks clean
- Checking rollers underneath to ensure nothing in the way
- Attending Thor Diesel Club rally and learning how to check the critical clearance between the slide track and sidewall.
Probably something I have forgotten that someone else will remind us about.
Based on what I have seen on this forum there are more people with problems who are on more frequently than people without problems. So you will likely not hear from as many people without problems as you do those who have not been so fortunate.

Have a neighbor with a brand new Winnabago Ellipse. Second use the curb slide would not retract. The dealer sent out a tech to fix or at least get it in. Took a look at the track and it already shoe signs of damage? I just don't get why this system is used when it's obvious there are many issues by consumers. What about the issues that are never posted on IRV2?

Similar thread on Winnebago forum, except it includes a poll.
I do find it interesting that with all the negative posts on all sites, there aren't more hits on this poll.

Never had any issues with our 33.2
We traded, but not due to slide issues (and traded for another Thor coach with Swintek slides!)

Has anybody not had trouble with slide
Purchased Palazzo in June 2013
Slide mechanism (original equipment) replaced in September 2013 by Total RV Elkhart IN
Slide mechanism replaced in June 2014 at Thor facility factory repair.
Slide mechanism replaced in October 2014, Luxury RV Mesa AZ
Mechanism currently making slight popping, grinding noises, dropping aluminum flakes which are signs of uneven wear and possible failure
16 months of ownership and four slide mechanisms. Just the facts. Good luck with your decision.
The link from stream camper is fascinating. Take time to read the whole thing.

My take on the pol results is actually positive. With as many RVs with Schwintek slides, and of the 2,400 hits... only 68 participated in the pol, and 38 indicated they had repairs. I would guess those who have had problems are more inclined to participate in the poll than those who have not had problems, so the 38 is possibly skewed higher.
