Headed west for summer trip
Planning our westward trip for the summer. Looking for a CG in the Jackson Hole area. Any recommendations?
Will be moving from Salt Lake City to Jackson Hole area to West Yellowstone.

Did that.
Looking for someone who's actually been there/got the tee shirt in an RV.

Tom,
If you have an iPad or I think an Android tablet the Allstays Camp and RV app is well worth the cost. Great information and easily accessed. As I'm looking at it right now the only campground near there rated more than 3 stars is the Colter Bay Village Campground in Grand Teton. Also the most expensive and most likely to be filled soonest.
That app gives links to RVParkReviews and sometimes TripAdvisor.com. The reviews in RVParkReviews include information on what the reviewer camped in and whether or not they would stay again. Also shows how many other reviews they have made. That helps give some credibility to the review.
Enjoy the trip. I am also heading West in my 33.1 with planned stops at Devils Tower, WY, Butte,MT, and Lake Tahoe. Possibly Bryce Canyon on the return and open to suggestions on other places. I have been to Yellowstone numerous times so not going there this trip. Still working the itinerary and scheduling.

Did the Cody, Devils Tower, Butte, Glacier NP two years ago. Great area!
We are doing the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Salt Lake City, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone (return trip) then headed to Banff Canada. About a month + trip.

Tom,
We love Jackson Hole but we have never camped there only in a hotel. Anyway your choice is limited, one in town the Virginian Lodge and Campground and two out of town, NW out of town Jackson Hole Campground and South is a KOA. A friend of ours stayed at the Virginian and liked the fact that it was close to town center.
Safe travels!

We stayed in part of the Tetons National Park about 5 miles east of the airport. Inexpensive, nice CP, and fly fishing out the back door. Look out for buffallo and Elk on the road in!
