Just wondering how all of that sorts out. Sounds like everything went smoothly as you have experienced no issue.
Are the slide outs issues a Thor issue? They go beyond Thor and affect any manufacturer who used the Schwintek. I think Lippert is reeling from all of the issues. it is a relatively new approach and design. Winnebago is struggling on the issue, as well.

It is interesting to note that after Monaco went out of business Thor industries purchased their factory facilities in Wakarusa, IN. This is where the Palazzo is built. Makes you wonder if that contributed to all the Palazzo issues. To the Schwintek issues, I've been told that Winnebago has had some issues, but not to the extent Thor has had. Thor apparently could not get it figured out. Why some units come off the line fine and others went horribly wrong is beyond me.

Fleetwood parent company bought out Monaco and HR. I heard they will be built at Fleetwood facility. Monaco still has their repair facility open in Oregon. When I was there last June that place was busy. Almost a month to get an appointment. Not everyone was having warranty work done. We were there to get a W/D installed. What I like about Monaco warranty is they will send you anyplace for service that can do the work not just Monaco dealers. Monaco doesn't discount their warranty service like other manufacturers.

Thor also has authorized service places that are not dealers such as Augusta RV.

CW told me the pull was fixed at delivery. It was not. I took it to Freightliner Jax. Still pulled. I took it to Freightliner Lake City FL. Still pulled. Took it back to CW where I bought it. They told me don't take it to Freightliner. Said they "screwed it up." CW undid what Freightliner did. Still pulled.

Before coach goes back to SC i thought I'd give Josam a try. They couldn't find anything. They said it might be a power steering pump.

That is really strange. Did they do a test drive, observe the pulling, yet say they could not find anything? Does not give me any confidence about their capability. We will be very interested in what they say at Gaffney.

Agreed...just to say that the frame is OK, it may be the power steering pump and send you on your way? I would be interested in knowing if they did a test drive and confirmed the problem?

They did test drive it. They said the right side castor was set to the maximum. This means the coach should pull to the left but it does not. Still pulls right. They moved two rear drive tires to the front to eliminate the chance of bad tires. Still pulls.
They said the power steering pump might be providing more pressure on one side than the other but josam said that is a warrantee issue with freightliner.
Next step call freightliner again. Set up a time to take back to Gaffney.

Thanks for the details. It helps us know things to consider if we have similar problems. Also good to know they did a thorough job.

Gaffney had it for two weeks. Snow and ice delayed the delivery. I test drove it with tech. Still pulled. I'm collecting paperwork for meeting with lawyer on Friday. Lemon.
Gaffney rep said it was normal to pull to right. They refuse to look at any mechanical issues like steering box/ fluid etc. I have no idea myself but this makes 6 alignments and nothing is better.
I'm hoping to get my money back and buy buy a used Newmar. Even if the alignment was fixed It still has to go to Thor for big slide work. I'm out.

"Another one bites the dust." Sorry to hear this. Seems that a vehicle pulling in one direction or the other could be easily solved. On this one, it's hard to say if it is Thor or Freight liner. The evidence it compelling and leaning toward Freightliner. However, I would not put it past Thor when they built it that something just went horribly wrong with the assembly somewhere that could be the cause. I would not be a bit surprised if the entire chassis is out of square. While the alignment was being done, was the chassis ever put on a jig to check for true? A large freight liner truck shop or big truck collision and body shop should be able to check the chassis.

Eventually I fear that the Thor Palazzo model will be retired just as the AMC Pacer was.
I'm on my third Thor product and have had good fortune with all of them but this Palazzo line may turn out to be their biggest blunder. I feel sorry for all of you that have gone through such heart aches having to put up with this model.
I have a friend that bought a 36.1 at the Hershey show this past September. He was able to get out in it only once before he packed it away for the winter. I really hope he gets lucky and has nothing but good luck with his.
