Magnum Inverter/Charger Adjustment
We have a 2018 33.2 with a Magnum 2012-20B Inverter and and Magnum ME-RVC interface to the Firefly control panel.
A quick question. Are you able to adjust Low Battery Cutout, VAC Dropout, Shore Breaker Size, Max Charge Rate, Battery Amp Hours and/or Battery Type on the Vegatouch/Firefly panel?
I can not. I wonder if this is a problem with my coach or this was designed this way. I got a confusing reply from Firefly on this question.
Was considering battery replacement and realized that I could not modify the profile for different battery types.

I don’t know about the Firefly system but all of those things are adjustable with the standard ME-ARC50 Magnum remote.

All of the settings are shown and adjustable on our Firefly control panel on our 2018 Palazzo 33.2
It appears your inverter is not connected to the ME-RVC or possibly the ME-RVC not connected to the Firefly, because even the inverter model, etc. are not shown.

Here is a picture of what yours should look like.
The reason my battery type says Custom, is because I changed to LiFePo batteries and used a separate ME-ARC controller to access and set custom parameters that are not available via the Firefly panel.

I had this issue. You have to call Firefly. They sent me a dongle to update the board software, but also sent a new touchscreen with update software. I can now adjust the parameters.
After that was resolved I was getting random issues with the inverter dropping out and resetting. Worked fine when unplugged from CAN. Thor sent a new RV C module, no change. Finally some tech in Thor said it needed to be a Sine wave inverter. I was skeptical, but they swapped to full Sine at no charge. If fixed the issue, now all works well.
I have a Magnum remote display as well, however you can’t seem to have both in the CAN network at the same time, at least not anyway I have figured out. Their signals conflict.
Best of luck, it is fixable.

I did the same thing as Corc. I had this problem. I called Firefly and they sent me a new screen and firmware update. Now I can adjust the parameters on the touch screen. Good luck

Corc, I just used a simple 4 wire telephone line splitter/pigtail (need to make sure both sockets on the splitter have four wires and not the 4 in to 2 out ones) plugged into the inverter which allows me to plug in both the factory wire as well as the ME-ARC controller simultaneously.

Corc, was your coach under warranty at the time of the Firefly update? Or did you pay for the update?
I emailed Firefly and spoke with them. They offered no solution as you described.

I was still under warranty at the time. Firefly was actually very helpful through the process. I think they took a credit card as insurance until I sent the core back. I can shoot you a screenshot of my software versions this weekend if that helps?
As for using two CAN displays, controllers at the same time, yes I used the 4 wire phone splitter and both kind of work, but lose some functionality. What connection cables are you using? I had a crossover from the splitter to Inverter but straight from each display to the splitter. If you look at the wire colors in each of the clear connectors you can see they swap on a crossover.
If you are getting both displays to work without loss of functionality, I would be interested to know the type of cables you are using.

I used this connector and put it plugged it directly into the inverter and then both the factory cable and the cable that came with the new controller directly into the new splitter, that way I'm not interfering with any factory connections only allowing the new controller to also function. I usually don't leave the Magnum controller connected, only so I could make the initial settings for my LiFePo batteries or to force a longer Bulk charge.
Once the Custom settings are set, they are saved within the inverter so you don't need to keep the Magnum controller plugged in. I only used the splitter to make it quick and easy to add the Magnum controller when I want (I do all this and store it in its box in the inverter bay).

Firefly Update
Thanks for all the advice.
Contacted Firefly. They sent out Updater to get the system to version 4.9.
My cost was for mailing the main Firefly screen back to Firefly. They mailed the main screen back with the updater.
I am out of warranty. It was great that they did not charge for this service. Firefly was very responsive and helpful.

Magnum ME-BMK Installation
Getting ready to add the Magnum ME-BMK Battery Monitoring Kit to our 2014 Thor Palazzo 33.2. Any suggestions on the best way to run the phone lead from the monitor in the battery compartment to the Magnum Inverter/Charger cabinet. The battery compartment is on the drivers side rear and the Inverter/Charger compartment is on the passenger side rear.
Thanks,
