no hot water to faucets
I replaced my Anderson Kant Leak water valve last week. All seemed well as far as running on city water ok, running on stored water in tank , ok.
But this weekend while out camping, we had no hot water at any of the inside faucets or shower. We had plenty of water flow, but no hot water.
I went to the water heater outside and pulled the pop off valve and there was plenty of hot water there.
Is there any way my changing out the Anderson Kant Leak valve could have had any effect causing to not have any hot water now ? I installed it as the directions said to.
I would not think so , since i still have water flow when I turn the hot water side of each of my inside faucets and shower (although cold ).
Is there any way the valve is somehow bypassing the cold water inlet to the water heater ?
any ideas ?

We let the water run a long time to be sure.

Check the water heater bypass valve.

I do know the handle on the bypass valve was missing & I replaced it with a new one. when I replaced the cartridge valve . I guess I could have placed it in the wrong position. Thanks , I will check it.

Another possibility is your outside tap. If someone used it, and shut off the water at the wand, but left the two taps open, it can mix hot and cold together. This can result in getting luke warm water at best out of the rest of the taps.

Does your coach have a hot water heater bypass valve used for winterization?

The water heater bypass valve was in position with pointer pointing to the words "water heater"
I turned it 90 degrees clockwise till it stopped.I then turned on the water heater and soon had hot water in all faucets.
Thanks

Might want to change position of the handle so it points to 'water heater'
