First... I installed a ground loop isolator and it eliminated the buzz from the speaker bar.

Second...after reading the posts, I looked under my settee seat and there was a woofer!!! Unfortunately, I can't get much sound out of it. There is only one RCA connector input. There is a red and white connector there but only the red one is plugged in. What rca connectors do you have on the back of the speaker bar and which hole are they plugged into?

Vizio's website has manuals you can download that shows the hookup's.

When I try to use the sound bar and the TV speakers at the same time, the sound is awful!!! Seems there is a slight time delay between the two, and creates a lousy reverb effect. When I use the sound bar I turn the TV speakers off. I then get good quality sound from the sound bar, I turn the volume on the sound bar to full, and then adjust volume with the TV remote - works well.

Now, to find the woofer! Love this forum!

Your solution is correct. When I did that I also had a bad hum. I disconnected the RCA connectors from the TV and installed the ground loop isolator with RCA connectors to the TV and to the Input 2 RCA input on the sound bar. I get great sound from the sound bar. Input 1 is the single pin connector that is connected to the original RCA connectors that I disconnected. The ground loop isolator is from Radio Shack and has sufficient length to reach from my TV to the sound bar.(on a 36.1)

After Indy1951 pointed me to the Visio site, I understood the wiring much better. There is one RCA connector that attaches the sound bar to the woofer. I still am trying to figure why my woofer does not get full sound but it may be due to a defective RCA connector.

Don't know...I would look if I could...but...it's at the shop...again!

TK,Thanks for posting your mod to the sound bar. I followed your instructions today and switched mine over like your's. I can tell a difference but not as much as I was hoping for. Maybe I am expecting too much but I thought I should be able to get more volume than I do. One of these day's I might get energetic and cut a hole in the base of the dinette seat and cover it with a speaker grill so the sub woofer won't sound so muffled.

Viola! Thanks to your post I was able to find our subwoofer, too! I took some photos as best I could in the dark. I noticed that ours was plugged in and turned on. I figure there must be something else wrong since the sound bar is pretty useless. I will have Thor check that out when I visit in March.

It's that noise choke between the TV and sound bar. It virtually eliminates all the noise. (As Well as the low frequencies going to the sub woofer.) Look through the posts again. I think someone figured out instead of a noise suppressor, they used a ground loop eliminator instead.

It's my impression that subwoofers are meant to be fed from an amplifier. I doubt the Jensen TV has strong enough output to drive a subwoofer with much force, and I don't know about the Visio sound bar. I found the subwoofer under dinette seat also, and it was plugged in and turned on. With the seat cover off, I could detect the effects when I switched it on/off, but not a lot. I then went back to the audio on the TV and readjusted base to a higher level, and that did seem to have some of the desired effect. Solution is probably going to be an amp, but I doubt I'll go to that much trouble. I don't listen to my music on the TV, anyway!

That sub has a built in amplifier.

I have a 2014 33.1, the sub is under the front seat of the U shaped dinette.
