I wrote about the approximate one minute delay for the alternator voltage to appear after starting. I wrote that due to watching the voltage gauge in the dash. The other gauges have already begun to register and the voltage registers significantly later. Also, the low voltage light on the leveler control only goes out after the dash voltage gauge shows charging. Your other points about the intake air heater is interesting. I will watch out for it.

Question Warranties

I'm beginning to hear complaints that warranties should be longer then one year. If auto manufacturers can do it why not motorhome manufacturers? Some suggest it's time to stop buying new coaches until warranties expand.

Comments?

Chassis, engine, transmission, etc all have mulit year warranties. Your appliances all have a standard industry warranty. The coach has a 1 year warranty but you can get service well beyond the warranty period if you take it back to Thor's Service Center...that is where I am at the moment to get a water leak fixed. My warranty on the my coach expired 3 months ago.

There are several other older coaches here that are getting service. One person told me that he is getting a new slide topper on his Mandalay coach and all he has to pay for is the parts, at cost, and no labor to have it installed.

I have no complaint with Thor!

I continue to say if you take your coach to Thor you will before than satisfied. I have had two Thor coachs and we live on Texas. Worth the trip. First coach was all but destroyed be CW. Thor did a greet job above and beyond straightening it out. Our 33.2 is fabulous .

We love our coach!!!

Some shops outsource the alignment to speciality shops so I would call your local authorized Freightliner shop and ask if they can do this or recommend a shop in your area.
Was this done as a war entry item...ie doesn't feel right driving etc.?

It was done during my service visit and I paid 4 hours labor so maybe some of the labor to do the alignment and ride height adjustment was in that 4 hours?

Freightliner recommends to have the alignment checked after the coach body has been installed and it is not done at Thor, they do not have the equipment. Many of us have had this done when we went for our first service. I only had 3500 miles on mine when I took it to Freightliner in Gaffney.

You can do the ride hgt yourself, here's an example of one.

But if you had it done it can't that much time,

I can't quite understand all of the procedure from your write up. Maybe if I could see the ride height adjuster and refer to the procedure I would see it. How do you get under the MH with the air bags deflated?

Extend the jacks to raise the coach. Please use jack stands and do not depend on the jack alone.

What do you mean, "filled" ?
What window shade are you referring to?

That happened to me, I had to play with the wheels on the side to give it some tension.

Here are some info.

Meant to say "pulled down". Hate these iPhones.
The black day shades.
Pulled one all the way down. Won't roll back up.
