Turn cruise control on. Push cruise button one time (end of turn single lever).
Will increase rpm to speed up building air pressure and voltage level.

Also useful for providing a high idle speed to allow the engine components to cool down, particularly after running hard at highway speeds and exiting to a rest area. I always do this before shutting off the engine, letting it high-idle for 3-5 minutes.

Thanks Tom and Norb. Is there ever a reason to deactivate it after you've activated it and if so - how is that done? Joe

Once you step on the brakes the engine goes back to the normal RPMs.

I generally set it to the higher idle after a few seconds after I first start the engine and then hit the brakes after the air tanks are filled or when I get ready to drive off.

Does anyone have a bypass on their water filter? The Owners Manual says the one is supplied but I don't have one. I called their customer service and they looked at a Palazzo and it had a bypass similar to the water heater bypass. They said to take a picture and send it to them to prove I didn't have one. So does any Palazzo have a water filter bypass?

I was given a filter in the starter kit(that I thought was an extra) I too do not know where this is and would like to check?

Do not have a main filter bypass on our 33.1.

Filter element goes in the main in-line filter assembly/bowel.

I do not have one on mine either but you can remove the housing and install a blank disk in top of the filter and screw it back if you wanted to bypass the filter for winterization, etc. I prefer to go south v/s winterization.

I use the disk but some just remove the element and fill the bowel with antifreeze.

I just solved my water filter bypass problem for winterizing. I looked up some kits online and found some nice ones. I want to bypass using water lines and not the plates. In the meantime I went to Home Depot and found a 1/2" x 6" nipple that worked. I just unscrewed the fittings and screwed on the nipple. In the process I discovered that there is a rubber washer in the female side of the fitting which fell out. I had a leak until I discovered the washer and put it back in. You need a flat smooth surface on both ends of the nipple and sandpaper will do that. I spent some time asking Thor if they would supply a bypass like the Owners Manual stated clearly. They asked that I take it to a dealer and have them take pictures to prove I don't have a bypass already (stupid or dishonest customer). I took pictures myself and sent them in. The answer, Thor doesn't supply a bypass for the water filter. I don't consider that even close to first class treatment. Didn't I write big check to buy this thing? If they aren't going to supply the bypass why go through the take it to a dealer and take pictures stage? BTW the nipple costs $3 and 8" would be slightly better than 6".
