Thanks for the help and for all your great posts

The microwave is a convection microwave so it will cook like an oven and well as cooking like a microwave. My DW loves it! We have owned our Palazzo 33.1 for 8 months and we love it. Good luck and please feel free to ask all the questions you wish...we are a friendly bunch of Palazzo owners here on iRV2!

Gary;
A little confused about the engine oil change during 6,000 mile initial maintenance check.
Understand that during your visit at Camp Feightliner you were told something different.
Can you clarify.

Tom,
They didn't change the oil or oil filter at 6 months and they did not service the transmission. It other maintenance items that are shown in our maintenance manual. It ran me about $400 and it was done in Greensboro at the Freightliner dealer. I misunderstood what Mike Cody told us at Camp Freightliner. I asked him about it when I was having my 12 month service done. You should be able to just do the 12 month service which does include an oil change.
Hope this clarified my post.
Gary

The birth date of my chassis was February 2012 therefore I had my first service in February 2013 @ Freightliner in Gaffney and my mileage at this service was 3618. The service interval is 1 year or 15000 miles, which ever come first. This is what we were told by Mike Cody at Camp Freightliner. According to Mike, Freightliner made this change to the RV service interval because the way the typical RV owner uses their RV; it was an overkill to do a 6 month service when the chassis would spend most of the first 6 months between Freightliner, the coach manufacturer, and the dealership. This change was in final release when I was at Camp Freightliner and I specifically asked Mike do I do the 6 months or 1 year and his reply was do your first service at 1 year.
Freightliner used the 6000 Mile or 6 Month Initial Maintenance: 00-03 checklist and I questioned the Service Manager and she told me that it is the same basic checklist as the 1 year. I would be more than happy to scan all of my service paperwork and provide copies to any interested Palazzo owner. Send me a PM with your personal email.

Thus my confusion.
My chassis mfg date is 3/2012. I purchased 10/2012. I assume by your post that I'm due for a 1 year maintenance check using the 00-03 checklist.
We have 6,300 miles on the coach.
Thanks to both of you for your help. Just don't won't to screw this up.

Tom,
I would suggest that you give the service center in Gaffney a call and they can best advise you when you should have your chassis serviced (864) 206-8613. You will most likely talk to Pat, she is a very nice lady and is very helpful.
Service Locator
Thanks!
Jack

Thor Diesel Club (TDC)
I just received my new TDC directory and counted 40 Palazzo owners among the other Thor owners. I only recognized a couple of names of Palazzo owners that are also members of iRV2.com and felt that there may be a disconnect between these two groups therefore missing out on some good crosstalk.
If you are a new Palazzo owner you get your first year of membership to the TDC free so there should be no downside to joining.
If you are interested please visit their WEB site and consider joining; www.thordieselclub.org

Good idea Jack. I wonder how any of the TDC members are not aware of this excellent forum and if there is a way to inform them.
