When I was I at Thor in September there was a 33.2 with this same slide issue. Thor had it fixed and on his way in 2 days. Dealerships are over their heads on big issues like this...

I keep reasons about people with large slide issues, I have a 2013 33.3 and haven't had any big issue with my slide except for the thermo disk went bad, that was a 5 min fix with a new one and it works great, I was told and I make sure that the unit is level, and don't just that it is level from the factory as I found out and I had the dealer reprogram the level there on the lot in front of me , that took a while but glad I did it

What is the "thermo disk"? Haven't heard that term/component term before. You are correct on the setting or calibration of the leveling unit when it comes from the factory. I knew mine was off by just looking at it while we were in camp grounds on our way home after picking it up at MHSRV. When I got home on my fairly flat driveway I followed the manual instructions on how to level the unit and reset the calibration for the leveling system. Has worked great since.

We love traveling in our Palazzo!!! Regards,

I've found I can level mine much quicker & better than the Auto. I never use the auto level system. I keep my driver side just a shade higher. An inch or so?? Not had any slide issues for 8 or 9 months now. Coach MUST be level and have full electric power or my guess is there will be issues with the large slides in the early models. My 2 cents. Hopefully it worth a penny.

WOW!!! I wonder how Thor did that??? Mine has been in the shop for more than 30 days straight. Two Thor reps have came to work on it. It is sitting in a paint and body shop 65 miles from me and the dealer. Now it's got to be repainted because all the Schwintek stuff in the sidewall had to replaced on both sides of the large slide out. It has been a living nightmare. We are working on getting a replacement unit or a buy back.

It did not appear that they needed paint and body work as it appears that your coach requires, I am sure that this did save some time. I did not go into the shop to see how they did it but it was fixed quickly including the repair of the floor that was damaged when the slide was cocked in the opening.

When we were at the factory in Nov to have the slide updated, some painting was required as the 2014 updates actually relocate the upper gear track lower on the side of the slide and the faceplate that is part of the motor column assembly comes in black and needs to be painted to match. We elected to leave the faceplate black as it can't be seen with the slide closed and it matches the motor column itself when the slide is open. This saved at least one day in painting. The body work (filling the old holes and repainting that area on the slides) took one day, a third party body man comes into the repair center and shoots the color and clear coat on one day. No trip to the paint shop at the factory, just done in the repair center while they are working on other things.

I'm sorry, there is no way I'd accept the black Schwintek boxing unpainted. Sure, you can't see it with the slide out closed, but you can with it open. I will accept no less than factory painted perfection. I can't settle for something I paid this much for. No way.

But in Bills case he was up from California and needed to get back. He was offered but it was a Thursday and the painting would have only held it over the weekend but he had places to be. Your issue is with your service center. The factory is the only place to go for a repair like this in my opinion. It's tough that your unit had this issue but Thor is standing behind it all the way.
