It was suggested to me by a couple of people that having it hooked up all the time presents a possibility of bad things for the batteries on constant charge. On the other hand, when I look at the charger panel I see it varying and going down to float charging, sometimes at 0 amps. So I wonder if our charging system is good enough to prevent overcharging the batteries.
On the other hand, I wonder if there would be any value to using the battery disconnect switch and disconnecting the batteries for awhile while stil connected to shore power so that we can keep the refrigerator running, use an electric heater, run the A/C, etc., without charging the batteries.
Thoughts?

Interesting... I would go out and try it but the MH is currently at Freightliner with a couple of warranty issues and also having the 6 month service done on it (a few months late).

No camping this weekend
Looks like some good weather for South Carolina this weekend but no Palazzo camping for us.
One of my friends who looked at the Palazzo remarked on how crystal clear the over the air TV reception is better than the cable at his house.
OK, I suspect I am outnumbered here, but maybe this afternoon I will go out to the Palazzo to watch Army
BEAT NAVY!

Hope there's nothing BIG on the warranty issues. Anything we should check or be concerned about?

Gary may be able to answer.
I have a plug on my house for 30 amp. I turn the knob down to 20 amps and leave on. After a bit it goes to floot charge and like yours, turns off afler charging.

Warranty issues? That does not sound good. I have not seen anything chassis related so let us know what we should be checking.
Also 6 month service? What am I missing? I was planning one 1 year or 15,000 miles. What should we be doing at 6 months?
Is this a local Freightliner or Gaffney?

At Camp Freightliner we were told that the first service is 1 year. This was a recent change to adjust to the uniqueness of the RV v/s truck applications. The birth date if my chassis was February 2012 therefore I am scheduled to have my 1 year service 11 Feb 2013 at the Gaffney facility. You still must do other service like the first oil/filter change on the generator at 50 hours the every 150 hours thereafter.

Living room slide noise
I had to take the Palazzo to the dealer on Friday because of a rattling noise coming from the living room slide directley behind the drivers seat and at the other end by the TV.They determined at the time it was vibration coming from the rod that holds the motor that operates the slide. They tried installing a piece of foam pipe insulation around the rod and the also said the motor was offset a little bit so that was readjusted. They test drove the MH for about five miles and it seemed to have corrected the problem. I left the dealer and headed for home which is 180 miles away and after about 25 miles all the noises were back again. I was not going to turn around because i figure it's going to be a case of trial and error as to finding the problem. I will call them on Monday and let them know the problem is still there and to find out what the next move will be.Has anyone had this problem and if so what is the solution ? Hope some one out there has an answer as the noise is very irritating and DW is upset because with only 2100 miles and already we are having problems

Something must have changed because when I went to Camp Freightliner in Gaffney Mike Cody said that the first service should be at 6 months.

The LBCU needed to be replaced. Every time I start the engine it shows "Trans Serv". I called the hotline and was told that it the light bar was defective and needed to be replaced. The other issue was a leak in the air lines. Neither was critical. The air tanks stayed up in air pressure but when I idled for a while I could watch the needle on the air tank gauges go down until the compressor kicked in.
When I attended the Freightliner Camp in July, Mike Cody said that we should do the 6 month service. He stressed that the maintainence is the lesser of either mileage or months. My chassis was "born in February" so technically I was due for the service in August. Since there is a Freightliner dealer near me in Greensboro I decided to take it there but I wanted to take it to Gaffney for the service but it just didn't work out for me to get down there at this time.
