New 33.2 owner!!
I've been tooling around this board for the last few weeks gaining a ton of great info. Thank you. Will be picking up our new Palazzo next week. Very excited. Now just need to find a open spot at one of our favorite campgrounds for next weekend.

We are still here waiting for parts to arrive. The afternoon brief said parts are scheduled to arrive over-night.
Tim/Jim said if they DO arrive we should be out on Friday. If it's in the late PM we'll probably stay until Saturday AM.
Plan to visit a VV friend in Ohio than head back to NC. May go through Gatlingburg then on 40 home.
Will call when we pass.
Good meeting you.

Hi Tom,
Curious of what parts are needed. Did they fix your slide?

Main items where the slide ad water leak on the toilet.
Slide only needed to be shimed and adjusted. Works great.
Toilet is being replaced.
Have a lot of small items plus Thor is doing a complete PDI and fixing anything found.

Thanks Tom, Thor does a great job at the service facility.
Happy to hear that your slide is working great and that stuff is being fixed.
Safe travels back home.
Next week we are heading for Damneck, so hopefully our slide and the weather will cooperate.

Stopped at the service facility before the factory tour. Didn't see your Palazzo in the lot and thought maybe it was in a service bay. Went into the waiting room and asked the people in their if they were the Copelands. A couple stood up and said they were. After some confusing conversation discovered their name was spelled with a K. They had their Serrano in for service. Turns out that she was from Berlin Germany and he met and married her while he was serving in the Air Force in the late 50's.
Sorry that I missed meeting you and your wife.

Thor Factory Tour
A lot of times when things seem to go wrong it is for the best. We arrived at the factory location on CR 15 too late for the tour. Stayed overnight and visited Total Value RV to check out what they had in stock. Dave spent a good bit of time talking to us. Found out from him that the plant on CR 15 is the one that makes C's. He directed us to the one on Middlebury Street where the class A units are made. Good tour...lasted 1.75 hours.
The discouraging part was alluded to by Dave and confirmed on the tour is that the 33.1 is being discontinued. Bummer

really... the 33.1 is a great layout. If it was just me and the DW, the 33.1 would be our choice because that bathroom is pretty slick.

Evidently they aren't selling enough to justify keeping them. I agree, the bathroom in the 33.1 is the best. The full size shower and you don't have to fight the toilet getting in and out of the shower.

Sorry to hear no 33.1 but I guess after they introduced the 36.1 they decided that the 36.1 was a stretched 33.1 with a 1/2 bath, same engine, different transmission and that long wall slide with all of the long wall slide problems...
We love our 33.1 and I do not think I would of purchased any other model...just our personal preference! We purchased ours at the Good Sam show in Louisville last year and they had the 33.1, 33.2, and the 33.3 at the show. We went back and forth comparing all models and we felt that the 33.1 satisfied all our requirements. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the other models we just liked the 33.1 better.
BTW, I was the one that used the term " Entry level DP" in response to someone calling the Palazzo "cheap". This term is also used in the Palazzo advertising and refers more to the price point then to the quality. I do know that talking to the Freightliner folks Thor decided on a few things to hold down on the price of the chassis, one being drum v/s disc brakes on the front and Goodyear v/s Michelin tires to name just two. I specifically asked them who decides what brand of tire that is delivered on the chassis and they said the coach manufacturer and I asked them why drum and not disc brakes and they said the disc were more expensive and Thor was trying to hold down on the cost.
