When you get your MH back your could check to see if the bi-directional relay is active when both chassis and house batteries are disconnected. It would be fairly easy to disconnect both instead of one. In fact I could check myself. My MH is in my driveway. Keep us informed about your slide situation.

I checked my radio and backup camera and found that the screen is on even with the ignition off. I am following up with Thor. Also, I note that my turn signals operate even with the ignition off. I know this is not correct. This issue might even explain some battery discharge issues.

Hi Jim,
I believe that their power is there when the use/store switch i(by the door) is in the use position.
Also received in the mail my Freight Liner card with the USB drive containing pretty much everything picked up at the camp. Neat stuff with great pics.

NEWBIE ERROR

I drove the new motorhome from Concord, NC to our home in Columbus, OH and parked it in our driveway. Extended the front slide and then when extending the bedroom slide heard a crunching sound! I had forgotten to secure the bedroom tv remote control and it was lodged under the slide. Luckily the remote came apart and I was able to get it out. I was able to get the remote back together and it still works! Lesson learned...make sure everything is stored and secured before leaving.

I did not secure my nightstand drawer and the handle hung up on the bedroom slide trim...lucky for us it did not cause any damage but it did make a big pop when it released from the trim. Oh, the joys of RV ownership!

Anyone know how to adjust how far down the front shade will go using the small button in the upper left corner of the windshield?

I held it down while lowering to specific point then released. Now, it stops at that point.

First impressions after 2 shakedown cruises

I must say that we are thoroughly impressed with our new coach. When we took delivery of our Palazzo the crew at CW were very professional and helpful. The only negative was that when we picked it up the inverter was shot and CW had to order a new one. We limped out of there with a battery tender (provided by CW) and took it out that very weekend for the first shakedown cruise. We got to take the new coach on a variety of roads (freeway/highway, city traffic, and mountain twistys). We couldn't stop commenting on how nice the ride was compared to our old gasser class A. Night and day difference. My wife kept asking how fast I was going because it seemed like I was speeding through town even though I wasn't. I think it's just due to the fact that the coach just sails down the road. After our second shakedown trip we realized that the batteries were toast since they weren't charging even with the tender on them all weekend. We just dropped it off at CW with a list of things we've found and the new inverter came in so that will get replaced too. Another happy Palazzo owner!!

P.S. We've gotten dozens of compliments and oohs and ahhs at the campgrounds.
