You probably don't need a drop hitch. I was surprised to find that I needed no drop hitch for my tow bar for my car. The Palazzo is pretty low and I am sure that a drop hitch would drag at times.

I did not need a drop either. Tow bar is level with our Jeep baseplate.

Mike -
Our measurement from level ground to the center of the hitch opening is 16 1/2 inches.

Just spoke with Freightliner in Gaffney, SC -- It was explained that the warranty period starts on the day you sign your paperwork for your Palazzo (no other date i.e., manufacture date, etc.)
As for recommended Freightliner service-: 1yr/15,000 miles is requried. No requirement for the 6 mo/ 6000 mile as per Sean @ Freightliner in Gaffney, SC.
Sean said there had been a problem at one time with gunk in some of the Mercedes Benz axles. It was recommended that the differential be flushed and the oil changed. That is no longer an issue so therefore they do not require the 6 mo/6000 service for the MB differential.
|
Okay -- Spoke with Marcus at Freightliner -Gaffney, SC today--
To clarify -- Marcus said the 6 month/6000 mile service is required ! Follow the Freightliner manual - if any questions call Freightliner Gaffney, SC location and inquire.
Wanted to correct the information that was obtained from Sean at Freightliner Gaffney, SC. a few days ago. Evidently, that was incorrect information and advice.

VALVE???
Can someone identify what this valve is for?
It is tucked in the back left corner of the compartment.

The are are two other valves on the panel where the fill/city water connection is located marked low point drain. I am in the process of sanitizing the system. I presume that I should open all three to drain the bleach wate?
Thanks for identifying the valve.

BK, welcome to the forum. We have been quiet on the forum for a while because I'm laid up with a broken leg and ankle since the first of May.
