generator exhaust pipe

I hit a retread yesterday which tore loose the generator exhaust mount just inside of the chrome part (by the wheelwell). Can someone look at that pipe and tell me if you have a bend about halfway between the generator and the wheel well? Mine is bent and Im not sure if it was caused by the imact with the tread.

Thanks, Russ

Russ,

I just looked at mine and it appears that the exhaust pipe does have a slight bend to it. Here is a pic. Sorry it isn't better.

What a great site!! You can replace Palazzo owner Girtex - 33.1 with Texas61 because we just purchased his RV last weekend. We took our first trip in it this weekend and are working through a few kinks but we love it!! Once we figure out how to quiet down the big slide -all will be great!

Thanks

Glad you joined our group. I have exchanged your name with Girtex. Be sure to join in the conversations and comments about our Palazzos.

driving through a rainstorm, the windshield wipers started to wipe off the windshield and off to the outside of the "A" pillar.... man, what a time for this to happen. When we stopped, I looked at the wiper assembly and the two big nuts the holds the wiper arms were off its threads... tightened up the 2 nuts (one inside the front lid and one outside) and all is well again.... it scratched the paint a little but you have to look at it to notice. Thank you Thor for the surprise in the rain today. :(

Fuel Mileage

In past posts I reported 10 plus MPG with dolly and toad. We just completed a 2700 mile trip out west to Gillette, WY and Sturgis, SD attending FMCA and FCOC Rallies. Each driving day I zeroed the fuel economy counter on the dash display and I am happy to report that I was getting between 11.2 and 11.7 MPG. I will say I did use the “MODE” switch almost all the time and I set cruise control at 60 MPH (1500 RPM) and attempted to maintain this speed as much as possible.

We just did 4200 out west too. Rushmore, Custer, Cody, Yellowstone, Glacier. I put fuel in when I get below 1/2 tank. Set cruise on 65. Never touch the mode button. Didn't even know that there is a fuel milage counter on the dash. I checked my milage on a trip to Florida once then just figure I'll put fuel in it when it need it. Me checking my milage would never affect my driving habits. Lol

I have searched to no avail. It's a matter of asking the right question. Do you know the thread that you are referring to?

I just figured with the miles on my coach and I slowed down 5 mph to get 1/2 mpg more that I would have saved $300. And cost me about 20 hours. This last trip we ran the generator 48 hours and probably ran the dash air 90% of the time. Too many variables to worry about. We enjoy the scenery don't worry about the fuel.

You know the old adage "You snooze, you lose"? We'll, the 2013 that I liked was sold just days before I contacted the dealership. Any idea on how much more the 2014 models run?

A point of clarification...I am sharing this data because that is what we do on this forum and I do not expect anyone to follow what I did so please operate your Palazzo however you like, drive it fast or slow, economy mode or not, just have fun!
