If I recall, I saw 7 rollers/plate sets on the big slide on my 33.3. Cycled it about 70 plus times and no issues, yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. My build date was April 2013.

Well next week my local Newmar dealer is getting in a Ventana 3436 LE model.
Similar layout to the 33.2 here
It is not as expensive as I was originally told the MSRP is $211, they will change anything you want at the factory.
The dealers discount them 28-30% so that makes them only little more $$$ than the Palazzo
The big thing is the fit & quality of their built is supposed to better, they use their own slide system, with Little reported problems.
All coaches have problems.
The big difference is their comfort steer, the LE series is their entry level and this feature just now became standard.
Take a look here
Not saying yet I'm doing it but at $152K it is very tight competition against the Thor product. I'll guess the resale value may be better.
I'll report back after the ride and look see.

It looks interesting and I am surprised at the cost you are quoting. Does that include all the options to bring it to the same level as the Palazzo standard?
Besides the cost differential one thing I don't like is the front entry door. Some people love it because of the similarity to buses and high end coaches as well as the ability to have big curb side slides. But I much prefer the door location on the Palazzo.

Many have said already, you need to do an apples to apples comparison and you are only comparing price. I reviewed the standard/option list and what is standard on the Palazzo is an option on the Ventana. By the way, the "Comfort Steer" is not free...
I am very happy with my Palazzo and I hope you enjoy your Newmar.

Comfort steer is not an additional cost option.
Not sure what you saw on the option list that is not standard on both?
The residential fridge is an option on Newmar, but I think that may be it.
Correct me if I missed something.
The overall cost is $10K more, but until I see it and drive it I can't say if the value is there.

We looked at the Ventana 40 footer at the Pomona RV show in SoCal last month, we need a little more room than our 33.2 as we will be running our vinyl sticker business out of the RV for 9 months next year.
We were surprised at the price also, the model we liked, 40' tag axel and fully equipped was ony about 50k more than our Palazzo. We will definetly be looking at the Nemar as an upgrade next year.

The comfort steer is not free! The chassis cost is higher and this cost is built into the cost passed through to Newmar by Freightliner.
I own a Palazzo therefore I know what is standard and what is an option. I reviewed the Newmar option list and found several items that are options on the Newmar that are now standard on the Palazzo, residential frig, washer/dryer, 1200 watt inverter in the Newmar v/s 2000 watt in the Palazzo to name a few. You need to lay out the build/option list for both and you will see the differences. I am not in the market for a RV you are so you need to do your homework...
Another note, the title of this thread is "Palazzo Owners" not what is better, Palazzo or something else.

ONLY $50K? Well I suppose if I had a business write off I might think of $50K as only also.
Good luck with your business and choice and let us know how it works out.

Well then you can say the tires are not free!
The W/D is an extra $$ option on both, Palazzo charges more???
The fridge is extra on the Newmar, but if you get it the inverter is 2000 pure sine wave.
You say you know what the differences are but don't say but a few at that the w/d is incorrect.
I think you're getting a bit defensive here, really no need nor should you object to the content of the thread.
You know I may come full circle back to a Palazzo so chill a bit.
This is a place to discuss what is better or not also values of the coach.

John,
You are correct! I have been following this thread since it was created and when I get notified that someone has posted I expect to see something from "Palazzo Owners" or asking a question about the Palazzo coach. The writer should open up a separate thread to comparing Thor to Newmar if that is all that he he is doing. This Newmar discussion should be moved to a new thread or to the Newmar forum where the writer can get information valid to his questions.
Thanks,
Jack

Agree
This thread has gotten way off topic. Don't like reading it anymore.
May come back later after all the anti-Thor people have moved on.

I never got the impression that there was anyone here anti-Thor. In fact there are at least two to three of us on here that are very much interested in buying a Palazzo.
There isn't a more valued opinion than current owners when shopping new coaches. Damn dealers will tell you whatever you want to here to make a sale.
I do appreciate all your time in answering my questions on here!
Thanks
