Rally Thanks

For those who were unable to attend, the education was great and the work done by Mark Stanley was fabulous. Just hearing an explanation about the slides does not even come close to seeing what to examine and determine whether it is likely to be a problem. Several people, including me, benefitted greatly by the troubleshooting and in some cases fixes by Mark. It is good to see the help given by Thor to those of us even out of warranty.

Our inoperable slide was a good prop for Mark Stanley. Thanks to all for sympathy and to Mark for the fix. Thor does support its products, and will stay with you until satisfied.

When I got the TDC beach mat at the rally I did not have an immediate use for it. Now I think it will be great for when I need to lube the steps, pull the air tank lanyards, or anything else requiring getting down on the ground to work on the Palazzo.

I wonder how long they will continue to fix these slide issues "out of warranty"? I know some owners with 2013's have had them fixed out of warranty.

A key learning point for me was the criticality of the clearance gap between the gear motor and the slide track. If the gap is too wide by even a little it is going to be a problem. Mark showed how the slide track could be shimmed fairly easily to close that gap. I took a hard look at mine and they all appear tight.

Another key point was to lube the slides (see the video) with CRC Power Lube

Does anyone have Mark Stanley's email address? We seem to have misplaced it. Thanks! Alan and Karen Rawlins
