Since it looks like there is a lot of free time left on the agenda, what do you think about adding a specific time for "Mods and Fixes" where members who are interested could sign up to give us a tour of what they have done? There has been some great information shared on the forum that I would like to see the details of how it was done and I'm sure there are more that we have not read about.
I also wouldn't mind some time for Q&A with demos for those like me who haven't learned such things as how to set up the AGS. Maybe someone could also go over the procedure for putting in slides manually. ThenYouTube video is nice but in person is always better.

Jerry,
I like the idea but may I suggest that we put together a flyer inviting Palazzo owners to meet at someone coach to discuss who modified what and give those who want to share their mods with everyone interested. I for one would be interested in a demo of the Auto-Start Generator system. We will have welcome packets and I could include a flyer in each so all I need is some help to put the flyer together?
Thanks!
Jack

Great idea!
Wife would like a class on the mic/convection oven if there's a DW that has that down.
I would like a demo on checking/servicing the engine coolant system if there's a tech around.

Jack,
Here is the draft for a beginning of a flyer. When I get more input I will flesh it out with more details.
Also there will be a post following trying to get people to sign up in advance.
I think it needs to have a specific time slot to be successful and there is a lot of “Free Time” on the most recent schedule I have seen. However, if I get sufficient input from my next post that people don’t want a specific time and place and just want to try to catch those willing to participate we can try that.
Anyone with suggestions on the flyer or how to organize this, please chime in.

Sharing and Learning at the Rally
Going to the TDC Spring Rally AKA PalazzoPalooza 2014?
Care to share?
Care to Learn?
Here is your opportunity!
On the iRV2 Forum we have read of many improvements, fixes, and how to do things. Things includes everything from refrigerator lock, pantry shelves, electrical system monitor upgrades, improved shades, setting the AGS, and the list goes on.
If we get enough interest we will add an activity in the current free time on the schedule to share and help each other out with these great ideas and information.
If you are interested, please do the following:
- Reply to this post or send me a PM on whether you would prefer a specific time on the scheduled agenda and meet as a group or you want to try to do things one-on-one. My preference is that we would get more out of it as a scheduled activity rather than trying to catch people when they are available.
- If you have something you would like to share, please reply to this post or send me a PM with your name and the topic you would like to share.
- Same If you have something you would like to learn about.
- I will put this information on a flyer for use at the rally which will give more people ideas on things to present or learn.
While this session was initially started for Palazzos, owners of Mandalays, Tuscany, and Damon DPs are more than welcome to show us what you have done also.
Here are some examples.
If anyone is interested I would be glad to demonstrate RV-related iPad apps and Ham radio in an RV. Sorry, I haven’t made any great mods.
Some things I would like to learn about include setting up the AGS, how to manually retract slides, and how to set up the capability for more advanced monitoring of the electrical system.
Let me know your questions and ideas to get the most out of our time at the rally with sharing information.

toad got towed
Looks like we need to quickly get another toad and get it rigged to tow and add braking system before the rally.
We will find out next week if the adjuster will total it or not but I think its gone. I was on my way to the office friday am cruising at about 45 mph when a chevy 2500 pickup pulled out from a gas station. I never touched the brakes and we locked up and it was not a pretty site. I was very impressed though at how my 2 door jeep ended up against such a large truck. His was undrivable too. An ER trip and many drugs later and im driving dw crazy to start looking for new toad.
We have more than enough time as long as I can get the insurance company moving.. and we all know that is not quick.

So sorry to hear about your toad but happy that no one was seriously injured! I downloaded a list of approved toads from FMCA for a friend and I am attaching a copy for review if you are considering other toads beyond a jeep.
Good Luck and we will see you at the rally.

Sorry to hear about your jeep. As I am sitting here typing this message my 2014 Jeep is in the garage and I am in the middle of installing the road master base plates. I have already installed the MOPAR wire harness for the tail lights turn signals and brakes. That was not an easy job as I had to remove the entire right side front fender and drill a 1-1/8 hole through the firewall. But once I got it all done I tested it out and it works as advertised. I was really impressed.
Hopefully today I will get the base plates install finished and the jeep will be ready to tow. I went with a Ready Brute Elite Tow bar. That will require removing the left fender to install the brake cable. There is one thing I like about the Jeep, it is easy to work on.
Back to your situation, it sounds like the jeep held up really good in the accident compared to a much larger vehicle. Something has to be said about that. But, think of it this way, that Jeep still has a rigid chassis and the Jeep weighs far less than that bug truck. If anything you must have hit the big truck and then bounced and slid in another direction. If you had been in a uni-body vehicle, the outcome might have not been the same.
Good luck on finding another toad. But IMHO, if the Jeep saved you from serious injury and serves you well, a 2014 brand new one would look look really good to me right now.
