Palazzo Problems

I am a new and not so proud 2014 Thor Palazzo 33.2 owner. I've owned it for a week as I am already very disgusted, here's my list of problems it will be going back to Camping World to be addressed. Wish me luck!

2014 Palazzo 33.2 Problems
1. The hot water heater does not function. No water flow from hot water heater when bypass valve is set to hot water heater. On delivery, the bypass valve and entire water connection system was already replaced by Jim.
2. Hot water heater cover has a dent in it. (Needs to be replaced)
3. Paint on right side of coach just behind entry door on the dark gold colored swoop is faded and does not look completely painted as the rest of the swoop.
4. Storage bay door on right hand side, the forward door jam is missing paint.
5. None of the drawers in the kitchen will stay closed while underway.
6. Underneath the cabinet and stove there is a black bag that keeps hoses and wires when the slide is retracted and extended. This bag has tears in it and needs to be replaced as air is able to enter the coach from the outside.
7. In front of the couch and just before the bathroom entry door the floor has a pronounced squeak when walking across the floor.
8. Windshield washer fluid does not work.
9. Torn fabric behind center cushion on couch where Velcro is attached
10. Sharp metal hanging from just inside left side rear wheel well (at the rear)
11. Cabinet above and just to the left of entry door right hinge will not stay attached to the door. (I have already tried to reseat and re-screw screws into place. This did not fix that problem.)
12. Daytime and night blind will not retract in dining area on the right hand side. (I have tried to adjust to no avail.)
13. Front roof air conditioner has a broken fin on the filter cover. (cover needs to be replaced)
14. RV Gas heater vent on the outside of coach needs to have the exhaust port straightened or replaced as the fit and finish is very poor.
15. Upper rear large slide out gear teeth are becoming more and more warn with metal shavings falling off. This needs to be replaced.
16. Inside rubber weather strip on large slide out in the front at the upper motor and gear assembly is already torn and getting worse. Entire rubber weather strip needs to be replaced.
17. Cabinet door handle for cabinet to the right of entry door above the couch will not stay screwed into cabinet.
18. Some of the screws that hold aluminum metal plates onto bottom side of large slide are not secured to the (floor underneath slide). These screws turn freely and some are about to fall out.

Oh, this is not my first new RV. But by far, the worst quality control and workmanship I have ever seen. I might add, the most expensive. Do more expensive RV's come with more problems? It sure seems that way. I've owned a Fleetwood, no problems what so ever. Then I went to my first Keystone Fifth wheel, some minor issues. Then to a toy hauler by Keystone with some problems. Now the Thor, most problems I have ever had to deal with. So far so good on the Freightliner Chassis and Cummins. I guess only miles will tell the story on that. However, the rest of the coach...

I just found a problem, the front cap clip on the drivers side is separating. The caulked seam on the roof has a gap. Thor told me to take to a factory approved dealer nearby for repairs. I have plans for Thanksgiving week, will take when I get back and fill you all in.

No, just the driver side front. Taking to Freightliner tomorrow to check out front end rattle when I hit bumps in the road.

Freightliner found a loose shock and took care for front rattle noise, when I got into my coach this morning after a night of rain, I found 3-4 steams of water coming from under the main slide? I am praying it was from the truck wash using power washer to rinse unit. I know that is not likely but I can hope for the best. I could not see any areas where the water would have came from? Anyone had this issue?

Had the same while using a pressure washer. Don't use that anymore to wash the rig. No issue since.

I'm always puzzled on how many of you think that numerous defects on a new RV is acceptable. This industry needs to do some serious soulsearching.

Don't believe anyone accepts defects. Trick is not let it get you down and work through issues with your mind still in tack.
