Palazzo Sanitize Water System Valve

In an attempt to sanitize the fresh water system on my Palazzo 35.1 I selected sanitize/winterize on the water control valve and tried to add the chlorine solution to the fresh water tank. Instead, the solution goes into the pressurized lines which supply faucets. What should happen is the solution should go into the 90 gallon fresh water tank to properly mix and then this could be circulated through the faucets. A call to Thor confirmed that my Palazzo is behaving as designed and that I must add the chlorine solution to the water hose and select city fill on the valve. This would mean trying to get 6 gallons of diluted solution through the supply hose if one follows the manuals procedure. Or, maybe one should just put undiluted Chlorox into the water hose to get flushed into the water tank (which is against the manuals recommendation)? Has anyone else noticed that the sanitize/winterize position does not suck fluid into the 90 gallon water tank?

I purchased a water filter at camping world that is the same as any under sink filtering system except it has garden hose hook ups. Then I take the filter out, put the chlorine into the casing and turn on the water. It fills the tank taking the chlorine with it.

Here is a suggestion that has worked for me for years. I use water from City water that is chlorinated and that is enough to sanitize my MH plumbing. I have never added chlorine. Chlorine in high concentrations can be harmful to plumbing. Some CGs may have well water that is not chlorinated but that can be corrected the next time you use chlorinated water.

X-2. If we are traveling I never hook up to the city connection. Just add water every third day or so and use inboard pump. I have never added anything to sanitize. We use bottled water for cooking & drinking.

Here is a little variation on what you do. I do use CG water and connect my City Water hose. To prevent drinking sometimes bad tasting CG water I use a Brita Filter. It is the type of filter that is in a special Brita pitcher. I use it at home too. If I used only water in the fresh water tank I would be carrying more water than I prefer when traveling.
