Steering Stabilizer Question

Hi all, This is my first post to the forum as you are always ahead of me with every question I have had for the past 4 years but now I cant find an answer... One of the best upgrade I made to my 2016 Palazzo 36.1 was a SafeT Plus steering stabilizer BUT we just picked up our 2020 37.4 and LOVE IT... I removed the old stabilizer with the intent of installing on the new one but after driving 300 miles not sure its needed. Is there a difference in the friont end or something becasue the steering feels tight similar to how the old did with the stabilizer. To install or not? Thank you

They are making improvements all the time each year. Is the wheel base longer on your new MH than the old one? Sometimes a longer wheel base will affect how it handles. There have been some improvements in the suspension in the last 4 years. Do you have a Freightliner chassis?

It is a Freightliner XC-R Straight Rail chassis with Atlas Foundation and believe the wheelbase is close to the same.

I have a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer on my MH. However I have an entirely different chassis than yours. Yes, it did help the handling some but like most older chassis my MH is still not a great handling vehicle.
My advice to you would be if you are satisfied with the way your newer RV handles leave the Safe-T-Plus on the shelf. The reason I say this is because the Safe-T-Plus adds strain to the steering system it is prone to making the power steering gear box and pitman arm to wear faster and the power steering pump to wear faster as all have to work harder to overcome the additional strain when turning the steering wheel.
This might never actually be a problem for me as I only log 1000 to 1200 miles per camping season. Like so many other things I consider it a trade off.
