Thor Palazzo 36.1 Anderson valve replacement part

My Palazzo 36.1 was having some plumbing issues so I’m having my local shop replacing the Anderson valve.

They’re being told it isn’t made anymore.

Anyone have a recommendation for a replacement part number?

Thanks

call Anderson directly. The number below is from a prior post on the forum. I did not confirm the number but you can also search Anderson Valve on here to see other posts with info.

The number for Anderson Brass is 1.800.476.9876.

The Anderson Valve has been updated and the new replacement set up is a all brass (no plastic).
It replaces the unreliable plastic cartridge valve. The cost for the replacement assembly is around $250 dollars, I saw it at RV show in town last month. It looks like a good replacement.

Is the brass replacement valve assembly just for the insert, or the entire mechanism. If entire assembly the plumbing change is significant!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Well, except that one guy.

Does anyone have a part #?

The Anderson website has a couple that look like they would work so I’m not sure which one is correct.

Also, the replacements all seem to be 3 position instead of 4. It looks like they have combined “city fixtures / dry camping” into one position. How exactly does that work? Pressure? Check valve?

Thanks

Call Bryan Price @ ABCO . He is the Product Manager & Engineer. Tell him what you need & maybe even send him a picture of your setup.

He will definitely be able to advise you on the part assembly you need. His phone number is 843-332-4111 or email him @ bryan@andersonbrass.com

Thanks,

I spoke with a lady at Anderson and apparently there is a lot of confusion because the upgraded parts have different part numbers.

I have one on order from them that is an all brass valve direct replacement for the originally installed system. I’ll post pictures and the part number when it arrives and I confirm it fits.

Got the replacement part in, it’s all brass and looks sturdy. I’ll try posting the flow diagram.

So the valve is in and appears to be working fine.

Be sure to note that they swapped around where the fittings connect on the right hand side valve body that has the hot water heater bypass / winterize function. So if you remove your hose fittings, install the new valve, then reconnect the old hose fittings in the same locations as before....it won’t work correctly.

Don’t ask me why the engineers did that. Just check the new flow diagram and realize you have to reconfigure your fittings and connections going into this valve body.
