Thor Palazzo - anyone drive/ride in one yet?

The nozzle would not go all the way in but it was enough for the automatic sensor to cut off the flow when it was full without any overflow, awkward but usable.

I "think" I read somewhere that Thor has "lowered" the engine batteries so they are easier to get to....anyone know this or have a newer coach?

Also, have they changed the frige door "lock" to something easier then that screw thingie?

Our 33.2 is a September build also and all the batteries are on the same level.

No change in the refrigerator lock, the delivery guy had no clue about the screw to secure the doors, if I hadn't read it on this forum and knew where to look for it, he wouldn't have known. Now next one he delivers he will know what it is for.

To tell you the truth, I have yet to put any DEF into my tank! It is still 3/4 full. A very new coach. Since listening to you guys talk about this, I'm thinking I need one of those long snakey funnels to fill it.

My delivery guy tried to tell me there wasn't one for my coach - I told him he needed to find one and he took it out of another coach.

Now with this screw, what if it was a big wing-nut with padding on it? After you screwed it in, it would hold the doors, but to get a drink during the ride, you'd just have to turn the wing-nut horizontal to open the door. Obviously it would need to be skinny, but I think that might work.

Interesting concept. The padding is the major issue. Maybe a thick plastic washer with a slot cut to slide it off. But then probably not enough tension to hold it in place and still have a quarter turn to open the fridge.

My salesman told me the same thing. I bought some baby locks at Walmart - very cheap, and easy to lock and unlock. Haven't used them yet as I haven't taken the coach out yet. Some one else on this site suggested it first so I can't take the credit.

We have baby locks on some cabinets but don't know a kind that works on the refrigerator. What are you using? Is it strong enough for the heavy door when loaded for camping?

Well thanks for suggesting it anyway! I'm going to check out all the baby locks at Babies R Us and see which would work. Thanks for suggesting it!

There is one on the Walmart website that is designed for refrigerators. When you read the reviews the complaint about these is that people forget they are on and yank on the door and they come off. So, don't know how well they will work. My fridge door has never come open without a lock so it shouldn't take much extra

Just came back from our first trip in our new Palazzo.Traveled up to Quebec City,Canada. Discovered on arrival serious oil leak.Could not find where it was coming from after crawling around on the wet ground. Being on a weekend
I was undecided as to wether I should wait until Monday to try and contact
Freightliner or attempt to locate the leak myself.I decided to try it myself. I removed the mattress and lifted the cover and than I had to cut the rug in order to expose the floor to be able to get at the engine. I discovered that the oil fill hose that is clamped to an adapter that screws into the valve cover. The adapter was not screwed in and as the engine worked under pressure the oil was blowing out.When the engine was at idle there was not enough pressure to show it was blowing out. The outside rear of the coach was covered with oil and dirt spray so I was able to wash it down .I'm glad I was able to fix it myself and not have to have the coach tied up at the repair shop for who knows how long. The return trip went well and no leaks.

Glad you were able to get your leak fixed yourself. Which model do you have?

I'm happy you were able to find and fix the leak yourself!

I do have one question about accessing the top of the engine from under the bed. You said that you needed to cut the carpet to access the engine. Is there some removable panel under the carpet? How large is the opening and how much of the engine can be accesed through this opening?

The storage compartment under the bed is split into two sections. The section towards the rear exposes much of the engine, if you need to get at the serpentine belt you have to lift the panel that is right at the head board. The section under the rug is just short of the full width of the compartment (left to right) and about half (front to back)

^^^, do you have a pic of the area where you cut the carpet... I think its awesome that you can get to the top of the engine this way... A good way to do visual inspection.
