TriMark 060-1650 repair help

Anyway, has anyone been able to find repair parts for this lockset? Also, does anyone have an engineering drawing with parts list? I'm trying to determine if I can buy a few repair parts for when it breaks again or if I need to buy a whole new lockset.

I have this lockset on my 2015 33.3 and it broke at a truck stop last week. I did my best Duke Boy impersonation out/in the front passenger window. I still wonder what the truckers thought . When I got to the campground I removed the latch strike and we used only the dead bolt the rest of the trip.

Here are a couple old threads that I found but I can't reply to it.

Quote from this post: "The tri-mark web-site states the 060-0650 is discontinued, replaced by 060-1650."

I see the lockset on the tri-mark website here (060-1650) but it doesn't have a parts listing and there are multiple versions of this model shown on the view products tab.

https://www.trimarkcorp.com/en/zPlat...platformid=152

Finally if anyone can recommend a replacement that won't break I would like to consider those as well.

any help would be appreciated

Not sure what broke on the lock for the OP. But fair warning to all with a similar lock. Mine is supposedly updated but I still had a lock failure. The main lock below the deadbolt locks on mine by pushing a small knob downward. Well, gravity and a firm slam of the door and down it can go and lock you out of the RV! Lucky for me, I had my keys in my pocket when it happened. I would love to know a solution for this.

Tri-mark locks are prone to fail. The deadbolt will engage then break. Leave a window unlocked is about the only solution. The lock itself will need to be drilled out in order to be replaced.

I got tired of playing games with my original lockset and purchased one from rvlock.com. has a fob and much smoother operation.

warranty Tri Mark

Hi,

I received a new Trimark lock under lifetime warranty from rvdesigner.com

I purchased a replacement lock previously from CW and when that one broke CW told me there is a lifetime warranty on the lock and to contact rvdesigner.com I received a free replacement after sending them pictures of the broken lock. The replacement lock is of a new design.

To close the loop I went with the Trimark steel replacement. Just the exterior portion of the set is part number 29412-13 or 060-1650. I did a lot of research and noticed no clear replacement for us and decided to go with the Trimark again. However, I upgraded from the nickel to the steel as they mentioned the part that broke on mine is a built better on the steel version than the nickel version. The removal and replacement took about 5 minutes by removing five screws (3 on the inside and two on the side by the latch bolt and dead bolt.

Was part on top that broke?

Replaced broke part shown with a machined steel part.

Was a challenge installing new part. Part cost $100.00 to have machined.

Not bad when this was one of many that broke over the years. $140+ each time.

Also, always broke at inconvenient time. Like there’s a convenient time. Peter

Thank you for pointing to that repair kit! My 5 years old latch did not break yet, but I did not want to risk it anymore. I used big screwdriver and broke it easily. I installed it over the weekend and all is good as per youtube video instruction. I did put a little of blue loctite on the screw.
Use a magnet to find out if your latch is magnetic or not. You may not need to replace if it is newer steel version.

I ordered my kit. Don’t want to deal with a broken lock when on the road.

If a magnet will not stick to the striker part that is prone to breaking, you have the orig factory part and you should purchase the kit and change it out.
