It is certainly like the block heater switch in my coach. The original poster did not say what make and model he has, but since he posted this in the Palazzo forum he probably has a Palazzo. And like many things in an RV it's located wherever it was convenient to install, not necessary to use. In my 2014 Palazzo it's located on the base of the bed which makes perfect sense since the engine is under the bed and all the wiring comes through the breaker panel, inverter and transfer switch in the base of the bed.
