Wheel not centered in wheel well
So I noticed the other day that on my 2017 33.3 that the drivers side rear wheels sit forward more in the wheel well than the passenger side, by about 3/4”. I had my son drive it as I followed and it appeared to be dog tracking. Any ideas?

Good chance it is " dog tracking " but an alignment check of the differential , " thrust angle "( being the new alignment term ), is needed to confirm the issue.
Contact the chassis manufacturer as the repair could be covered under warranty.

If you have less than 7000 miles and are within one year of the original purchase Freightliner will cover the alignment IF the thrust is out.

we had a 11'oclock pull from the right - Freightliner Oasis at Gaffney checked it, simply swapped front wheels.... ran straight from then on.
nice.

Measure it, center of front hub to center of rear hub. My 06 had a busted rear trailing arm, and the incident rear wheel was "lagging the fight". It drove fine, believe it or not, but hard breaking probably would have been eventful.

Is the rear axle able to be moved? I’m at 14,000 miles.

I went thru this when we bought our 2016 33.3......(slight pull to the right) I
was told "it was the crown in the road, wind, these things don't drive like a car" etc etc.
After some discussion with Freightliner and several thousand miles, they agreed to have their local dealer do an alignment check. turns out it was ride height of the air bags, right side front was over inflated causing a pull to the right.... Simple adjustment.
Having said all that, in my research I found an alignment was not a simple task, if I remember correctly and quite costly. You need to call a freightliner store that does alignments and ask a lot of questions.
Apparently there was some discussion of welding and removing/adding washers ?????? Again don't hold me to that it was a while ago I went thru this.
If it came to that I was also going to call an independent alignment co. as well and get a second opinion. But it really needs to be someone that is familiar with our chassis .......needless to say.

Yes, they have to cut the welds and reweld. Can be expensive. BTW, I just had the Gaffney Factory Service Center do an alignment...$200. Had the rear axle checked within my first year of ownership. It was fine.

So apparently I have Vride which can be adjusted rather easily without the need to cut and reweld. There is a cam on each side that I used to adjust the radius arm position. I find out more on Tuesday when I take it in for an alignment.

That is good news. I forgot that they went with the Vride.
