I just wanted to add that we called and you may need to ask for access to the water (not sure, the person didn't know) and also that the location of the water is at the contact station, so it is available for both North and South sides.

Yes, the water spigot to fill your fresh water tank should be found at the garage building, across from the contact station (shown below, where you check in). Just ask when checking in and they will show you.
The image from Google maps shows the Contact Station circled in red & the Garage (water location), circled in blue.

Not making it
It looks like there will be a good crowd, and it's an area of the country neither of us has been to. But unfortunately, that is much too far for us to travel this year. We are very hopeful to be able to see our new ORV friends again in 2023.

Just found out that Superslif, the originator of the ORV East Coast Rally (Wagon Master for 2018's rally), will be joining us for this year's rally! Welcome aboard Jim & son Robert!

We are back from Texas after picking up our new 28BKST! We spent almost the entire time in the heat wave - 100+ deg temps. We learned how to stay cool after the first couple of days.
I've attached a picture of myself, my wife and our dog at Jim Hogg Park on Georgetown Lake.

Have a new person in my life ( Kathy ) who has never traveled very much or camping of any type. So after some RV trips this year, she’s hooked. When we leaving again? This trip to Vermont will be our longest so far as we will be out 4 weeks. Thanx to Ted giving me a call a few days ago and saying there was a site available, Kathy, Robert my son & me were able to squeeze it into our NW. PA. trip.
Before the Rally we’re staying a Lake Dunmore Kamperville for 4 nights to do the stuff in North Central VT. After the rally I just booked a site at Rickets Glen State Park in NE. PA. for 4 nights. Hopefully we start to see a little fall colors there in mid September.

Looks Nice! How's the ProPide hitch been for you? Hitching & unhitching can sometimes be a bit of a learning curve at first.

Jim, if headed to the rally from Lake Dunmore, be sure to stay off Middlebury Mountain (Rtes 125 & 73). There's far better/safer routes to take with an RV, like maybe route 7.

Thanks for asking about the ProPride Ted.
I did not install it on the road. The dealer had a policy of not allowing customers into their RV prep/service area and the technicians were required to back my truck up for hitch/unhitch. Because I ended up needing the bring the trailer back in for repairs , I did not want to risk having someone else but me hitching up with the PP.
I'm planning on installing it this coming week.
Jim, glad you could join us and looking forward to meeting you!

Okay Mary, I'll do my best.
But, I'm still having trouble finding more of these flash things...

For old time sake, a picture of the first ORV Rally at Cook Forest State Park in NW. PA. Back in 2018.

change site:
Ted Leaf-Peeper
I was going to change my site over to the South loop site 43 but I need to check a box about the bridge over to the south loop that has a maximum length of 42 feet. My truck and trailer are 52 ft total.
Aren't most of you also over the 42 ft limit? Or will we be ok going over the bridge? It seems to me that a lot of our campers and trucks exceed that 42 ft limit. Any thoughts before I change sites.
Thanks

Hikermom718,
I've not seen that check box you mentioned, so I'm thinking it's something new. It's probably come about as a result of some incident, or complaint.
I can say this... There will be an abundance of ORV owners and others over 42 feet in total length who will be there during the rally that will have crossed that bridge.
On Edit: For those concerned about this issue, please call the campground and talk with the staff. I did that just now and was told they were not aware of the check box themselves, but assured me that I would not be denied entry if was over 42 ft in total length with a reservation that required crossing the bridge.
