5 Star service from ORV, Thompson RV and Blue Moon Mobile RV Repair

I had researched my trailer purchase for 5 yrs prior to buying. I researched the dealership for almost as many yrs. I bought our ORV Timber Ridge based on my research for their quality and even more so for their customer care. I drove 16hrs one way to buy our Timber Ridge from Thompson RV for the same reasons. I know nothing is perfect but if a business treats their customers fairly I will be a life long customer.
We have owned our rv for 6 months and really have had no issues. Sure a couple minor things that I was able to fix easily, but nothing like our prior experiences with our previous rv.
We have been full time since Sept., house hunting for a home base. Two days ago we noticed a strong burning plastic smell in our trailer. I was worried but electrical stuff is not my thing. I thought it might be a specific outlet. I called Thompson RV and spoke to Justin who put me in contact with Todd at ORV.
Long story short it ended up actually being a wire connection to the thermostat for the water heater. Being on the road I used a mobile rv tech who was able to find the issue and repair it.

ORV does not manufacture the water heater...and I did not expect help from ORV.

All I can say is I was taken care of by ORV, Todd was fantastic!
Staff at Thompson RV fantastic!
Also a shout out to Blue Moon Mobile RV Repair in Dallas/Ft. Worth for providing exceptional service.

The positive reviews for these businesses are not made up, they care about their customers!

Thompson RV

We couldn't agree more. We traveled from Montana to buy from Thompson RV. Every detail of the transaction went perfectly, the RV was ready and well prepared. They have been great over the phone, and handled an on the road issue for us with a few days notice, even going so far as fixing a couple of other issues that had been plaguing us. If I had tried getting it in at local dealer I'm sure it would have taken a month to get in.

Thanks for the info on Blue Moon. I live in the area and have been looking for a dependable RV Tech. Their web page looks impressive.

Thompson RV treated us really good also. Everything was done over the phone. Never laid eyes on our 24 RLS till arriving from Alaska to pick it up. Everything was ready to go

Just curious why Thompson sent you to Todd at ORV instead of calling them under warranty and assisting you from their end.

Your outcome would have been the same, but seems they didn't step it up.

@egwilly-I spoke with Thompson first and was told it would be handled under warranty. Maybe because I asked about using a mobile repair service since we are currently stationary and living in the trailer that they put me in contact with ORV. The mobile repair service is not an authorized warranty repair service for ORV so I believe to remain under warranty it needed ORV’s approval for the repair. I could be wrong just my guess...

I forwarded all documentation from the repair service which included my initial call for service, what the tech found and what repair was done including photos.

I never felt like I was being handed off at all, Thompson was in contact with me the whole time including following up after I spoke with ORV and after repair was completed.

Doug

I like QualityRV in Alvarado...they’ve been great in my two warranty visits. They even managed to get an axle overnighted from Dexter.

And another vote for Thompson’s...they’re awesome!
