Balancing tires

Is getting my TT tires balanced at my local tire shop good idea? So far my tread wear has been even on all 4 tires (about 10k miles).

I probably wouldn't worry about it now , but when you're replacing tires , I feel it's a good idea.
If your tires inflation is 65 psi or higher , and you don't already have metal valves , that would be the time to install those too.

Yes at the same time if your getting new tires, why not. I wouldn't intentionally pull them just to balance. How many times do you balance your vehicle tires in between new sets? Unless a weight get chucked.

Any item that rotates needs to be balanced.

I balance tires on everything..equipment trailer, boat trailer and rv trailer. Save your bearings..balance your tires.

I always balance tires when purchased new, for any vehicle and trailer I own.

Yes, as you never know how out of balance they are until you get them balanced. I feel that my trailers (over the years) have pulled better because of this, but that is my seat of the pants judgement.

It never occurred to me that the 15 in. rim on my TT might not be able to be balanced. I'll check into it with my local tire dealer next week. If can be done, I'll do it next April. In the meantime a brief intermission from activity--I'm getting my left shoulder rebuilt tomorrow. [Ain't it great, we're bi-laterally symmetric. Which means if one side wears out the other one isn't far behind. Had the right one done last March...]

factory balanced

The tires on my 5th wheel came balanced from the factory.

I picked up a nail this past summer and asked the tire shop to check for balance and they stated they were all good.

There will be stick-on weights on the back side of the rims to confirm if yours were balanced from the start.

When I decided to change my wheel bearings after only 3,000 miles on them, I took each set to have the tires balanced. I don't believe they are balanced by the MFG so its a good thing to do.

I get my tires from America's Tire Stores/Discount Tires Stores. Lifetime rotating and balancing comes in the purchase price of the tires. However, I found that if you don't tell them when it's a trailer they may not balance them...I reminded them. They did it. And I remind them to balance them when we get them rotated.

I have always had my trailer tires balanced. It seems like they always take a lot weight to balance. I am not sure if that is the rims or tires.
