Bed Struts
The struts holding up the bed in my 2013 WR are weak enough that they need replacing. I looked at them today and can't find any markings on the strut itself. The mounting brackets at each end both say "19 Kenoon" on them, but a Google search doesn't turn up anything. Have any of you replaced these struts, and if so, with what?

I removed the other strut and found some numbers on that one, so I'm good to go.

I put 100 psi struts on our WR. And I could have used 125 psi. The strut pressure needed of course depends on what you have above the struts!

Would you mind sharing the length of the struts? The ones on my Creekside are not strong enough either. Please let us know what you replace yours with. Thanks

I try to make sure my wife is off the bed before I raise it up... But I was thinking about going to 100 instead of the current 80. I'm going to check some of the parts places tomorrow and see what they have available.

I upgraded mine to 125# then had to replace the hinges. LOL

Yep, struts are weak. I just use a special, custom cut piece of wood to prop the bed up. It's never come down on me and it will last a long time. Price is less than new struts also.

Google Strut Your Stuff. I've used them in the past.

HAHA, This is what I did on my old TimberRidge. I used an old broom handle and it worked GREAT!

Nice. But I'm thinking that if I can make it easy enough to lift (and stay up), my wife will do it without bothering me...

DH replaced the bed struts on our bed with 150s. Lovely! We still keep a stick to prop it up when we are moving things around (we keep laundry basket and cat box there). Nice to not have to struggle to get it up though.
BTW, we have replaced bed struts on pretty much all trailers we have ever had. This isn't an ORV-only issue.

Does the cat let you know when he has to go? We keep ours in the shower, under the bed has clothes etc. in it!

Ha ha! There is a nice hole cut in the curbside bed platform for access for the cats. We tried keeping it in the shower, but it was a pain; the scattered cat litter was a mess. We do use the shower every day. Cats don't mind it under the bed, and it is out of the way. We clean it at least once a day, so we like those improved struts.

So let me get this straight. The cat's bathroom is right under where you sleep?
