I don't know about a new one but have seen them on them before. There is a pretty cool rack that goes above the propane tanks that I have seen but it might be hard to get the bikes up there. The tailgate pad is pretty cool. Probably what I will do. Hitch mounted bike rack || Shuttle Pad - Truck Tailgate Pad

I tend to carry a few bikes that way, works pretty well. I just use an old army towel between the bike frame and tailgate.

Factory receiver is rated at 300lbs I believe, so its more an issue of your rack and strapping everything

I have a receiver on the front of my truck and a 2 bike rack that supports the wheels not on the frame of the bike, works very well and I can keep an eye on them.

My appogies didnt see the part about “tounge” mounting bikes.

FWIW i have towed with up to 6 bikes on the back of my ORV hitch with a northshore bike rack. Heaviest bike i have is about 31 lbs. bike rack weighs about 50. Well within the weight limits.
