Cable and DSS Connections

This summer we finally stayed at a CC that had a cable connection. Since we were going to be there for a few days, I purchased a short cable section so we could watch the local news. We tried everything and could not get it to work. We even asked the park ranger if they could check it and it was good at the pedestal.
Today I finally decided to check and see if I could find out what the problem was. It ended up being a simple solution. ORV put the DSS label on the wrong connector on the exterior inlet. So what I thought was the TV Cable inlet was actually the DSS inlet.
Wanted to share in case someone else has the same problem in the future.

Similar issue on my KZ. Couldn't get the new Dish satellite to show up. Bought a cable tracer and the Dish tech came out and helped to trace it down. Switched connections and he was able to work his magic. We tried to trace down where the other connection went to and have never found it. The connection in the bedroom only goes to the OTR antennae. I assume it goes to some secretly placed government tracking devise, but haven't located it either.

Safe travels to everyone.
