Ceiling seam strips making panels "pill" on the edges?

Hi guys,

We have a 2016 Wind River 280RLS. We've noticed some wear on our ceiling near the seam strips, and after our last trip it's really standing out. I wouldn't think this is normal is it? It doesn't seem right.

welcome to the OutdoorsRV. I have a 2014 250RDSW that is doing the same thing. I have mailed picks to Dave and others at ORV. It is not right. But hay, misery loves company here. If they can't fix it they will probably just give us new trailors. Really, I am sure they can fix it when I think of what they have all ready fixed on mine. I feel like I know the guys at ORV and am not going to loose any sleep over this like I might with other mfg's. Others with this issue should post here so the factory can see what's going on and correct it. Perhaps the "in house" guy can post what the easy fix will be and save us all time.

Your dealership should be able to take care of this for you. It is not normal but can be fixed.

Set me up with Dillon at the Pomona RVIA show. I'll be there several days to bring the ORV guys lunch. Thanks.

Odd.
Hasn't happened with ours.
Any idea how/why it happens?

When the vinyl skin on the ceiling panel gets warm from outside temperatures it softens enough so that if the seam cover rubs on it just the right way as the coach vibrates going down the road it will push that skin out of place. Some do it and some don't and it's usually only seen on older coaches.
