If your honda 2000 only runs for 4hrs a tank then, I would say, something is wrong. Are you using eco mode? I can run my 2000 honda to run the furnace on eco mode for a good 7/8 hours, maybe 9 until it's dry. I have a couple of them.

Having said that, I am looking to buy a new champion 4500 dual fuel so I an run the AC without paralleling the two Hondas. I plan to sell one to help buy the 4500.

Depends on load; I bought my generator to run my AC so the EU3000is can do it all night where a pair of EU2000's or 2200's couldn't.

The generator comes with a 0.95-gallon fuel tank capacity which does seem rather low on paper. But don't be deceived. The superb fuel efficiency ensures a run time of 3.4hrs on full load. We ran the EU2000i at 30% load with a full tank – it ran for 7 hours without any issues.

For running just the furnace, I could see getting all night out of it though there are obviously some other loads.

I've ran my Honda 2000W for 8 hours on Eco many many times. It is amazing how long it runs on 1 gal of gas. Once it gets the batteries into float mode it just purrs for hours.

Well, yes, it does depend on load. I assumed we were trying run the furnace to keep the trailer from freezing in cold weather and keep the batteries up. That shouldn't require a Honda 2000 to run full tilt. I guess if the batteries were way down but I have never experienced that at elk camp in the 20F range. 0 F might push things more but still seems you should get more than 4hrs. My honda doesn't even idle up much if any when the furnace blower comes on. One man's experience.

Yep, as I said, the furnace is a very small load. I think we're all in "violent agreement!" LOL. My point was only to point out that run time is load dependent for our viewers at home....sorry if I wasn't clear.

Though I use my EU3000is to run my AC, I could easily use my EU1000i to just run the furnace and keep the batteries topped up; it's rated at just under 7 hrs at part load.

If you really want to run a Honda for extended periods of time, we built extended run fuel systems for our Honda and posted it on our blog here . Hope this helps some of you that want much more run time. Chuck

That is impressive I have a Ventana 4345 pusher we about freeze to death in September when it gets down to about 30 at our place above meeker we have the oasis heater that blows hot air out the vents have to run our generator in the morning and also put a big buddy propane heater inside to get it warm ? So far the worst heating system I have ever had ?

Something is wrong with your oasis heater. Should cook you out of there.

I was deer hunting last week. I have a KZ Connect with heated underbelly by the propane heater; the effluent grey and black lines are not insulated or heated. I used the propane heat exclusively for heating to keep underbelly warm; I also used it for the stove, refrigerator was on AC current.

Two nights went to 18 degrees, daytime high in 20's. I had poured 1 gallon of RV antifreeze in each of the tanks for safety. The only problem I had was the effluent lines (unheated) and dump valve were frozen tight. It got to 32 one day so I used a hair dryer on the lines and they thawed quickly; I assume since I had antifreeze in the tanks. I drained them after a few minutes of warming them.

I used about 1 20# propane tank in 24 hours; varied slightly but I will use the 1 tank per day as a guide in the future.
It was worth it; I harvested 3 deer using blackpowder rifle.

Wow, one bottle of propane a day? That seems like alot. How warm do you keep the trailer? I keep the ORV at about 63-65. When I head out hunting I drop it to 55. I realize that may be too cold for some people but it works for me. I know I could stay at least 6 days with lows in the 20s. I do try to park in a sunny spot if I can, that helps alot during the day.

Any voltage below 12.2 on LA/AGM batteries is toasting them permanently.
